I've done this event for 5 years and I plan on continuing until I get first place, but it's not all about winning it's about having fun while on the path to winning.

The "guards" are really rude and you get into trouble for not knowing where to stand. Contestants were cool. Actual race only about 15 minutes long.

This is a fun, family friendly event. Our favorite part was watching the giant pumpkins race! Rain or shine, we will be back for years to come!

PGVG members generously donate seeds from their giant vegetables to be shared with other members of the club. Maybe we can grow a pumpkin big enough to paddle in the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta this year! To learn more about growing giant vegetables visit the PGVG website. http://ow.ly/r9sT30iigFY
