During Military Day at the Western & Southern Open this week, we invited Cathy Hacker, Kimberly Hazelgrove and their children to our booth for a photo opportunity with Maria Sharapova. Cathy and Kimberly are both surviving spouses of fallen military heroes and were representing TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
The Western & Southern Open shines an international spotlight on our company every year in August, and this year it was brighter than ever. The top tennis players in the world, a sold-out crowd, CBS broadcasting positive comments about W&S – it all adds up to a significant impact. My mom and dad had paid premiums, lots and lots of money, to Western Southern insurance for 60 plus years, my dad passed and my mom was still paying for her policy per payment book they sent that was ...good through January 2018. This is the only money she would have to cover her funeral expenses. All of a sudden she isn't paying enough into the policy and they told her the insurance lapsed and she would have to apply for reinstatement, low and behold, they declined her due to health condition at 87 years old. She has nothing now. Absolutely nothing to show for all that money spent. Unacceptable. Disgusted. Worst company ever. See More

My husband is owner of his Mothers life insurance policy. She passed in Feb 2018. It's now mid March and still no check. They want this paperwork and that paperwork and our agent was no help. He since we called Cincinnati Ohio first he couldn't help.. BUT the check will be mailed to his office and then to us. Left a message on his answering machine and no call back.. days ago!! Had I know how bad they are at paying on death. I would never have trusted them. I cashed in policies quicker than getting the death benefit. Not Happy!!!! See More

Without a doubt the worst company to deal with! No concept of customer service! When you call in WSL seems to think that people have loads of time to sit on hold for them. I'm running a business fu...ll time and in m,y spare time I care for my husband who is on dialysis. When he got sick I was going in 20 different directions and didn't realize I had not paid his life insurance. Since they pulled the office out of our community I no longer had an agent who had our back and actually cared that we had coverage. Once I finally had time to sit on hold I learned that his insurance had been cancelled. We had paid on it since 1994! Now I have a critical illness policy which I need to get paid but once again they have no interest in providing customer service! Terrible company, my mom just passed away and they didnt tell me she had more policies and I barely had enough to bury her and the funeral director had to help out of his own pocket. Now the other pol...icies are going to someone else. I am getting an attorney involved and see why they hid policies on me so I couldn't give my mom a better funeral. See More

If we would have known what we know today about this company, we would never have chosen WSL to work with. They are very sloppy, unorganized, no customer service skills other than reading from script...s and repeating company policy. I would never recommend this company to anyone. No empathy at all and seriously even the manager never even said she was sorry for what was happening to us. A nice lets see what we can do and Iam very sorry would have been nice! See More

Shocked that you want my parents to restart their service from your company after over 20+ years because they missed a payment while my grandfather was dying. Of course their health has changed over 2...0 years. Yes you contacted them several times. Unfortunately sometimes the process of dying from dementia takes a while and my grandmother needed someone to help her understand how to handle all the paperwork after she lost the love of her life after a long a hard battle. My mom thought for some reason she should be there for both and missed your calls. I can't believe a "LIFE" insurance company isn't more aware of how hard death can be.
