Supercross track is really coming together this morning. In the past we've made things too technical. Not the case this time. Safe safe safe and we think everyo...ne from peewee to A riders are going to have a ton of fun! Battle of Wisconsin SX just two weeks away. 24 lucky racers who attend the race in Wittenberg next Saturday will get to ride the new SX track in Tigerton Saturday evening! #battleofwisconsin
For those of you who haven't heard yet our friend Aaron who races out of the B&B shop was seriously injured last night at a race near Madison (Aztalan Cycle Clu...b). At the end of the race he lost control of his quad and went through the fence and in to the viewing stand. He was airlifted from the track to UW Health in Madison.
Over last night this is what I've been told. The bad news is he's pretty bad. They "lost him" three times overnight. They removed his spleen and he has a lacerated liver. The liver is the problem because they are having trouble getting the bleeding under control. They have not done much with the brain trauma yet because of the liver issue. He also has a bunch of other injuries along with the compound fracture of the left arm but the liver/spleen/head thing is the priority. One lung was collapsed last night but they have been able to get that back in shape.
The good news is he did make it through the night and his hands and feet respond to stimuli - that's really important in relation to the brain issue.
His boss John is down there as is his wife and daughter. I've been getting updates via John - I'll certainly share whatever I find out.
A little promo action for the show during Halftime at the "Tweener" this Sunday at Tigerton MX. 6,000$ combined weekend purse for the racing action will surely ...make things interesting. Come watch some of he fastest riders in the nation battle it out, or come out to see if I crush @proud_local during the trials show with woman's Mx champion Sarah Rochelle Whitmore. It's going to be a great time. Scott Biese
