It’s International Women's Day! Women's Lunch Place is proud that we #inspirechange every day in the lives of our guests. Let's work together to make the world safe and equal for all women. How are you inspiring change? #womensday #internationalwomensday #iwd #iwd2014
We were thrilled to have The Dingo Babies from the Berklee College of Music perform live this morning at our shelter. Music feeds the soul and lifts the spirits of our guests. Thank you for sharing your music with us!
We had Aisling Peartree back again to perform for the guests this morning! She brought soulful music to the shelter and we loved having her. Here is a clip of her singing "Midnight Train To Georgia".

The food is really good. From when Josh was there with his Asian inspired cuisine to the most current chef. I am currently working in the area and I go there fo...r lunch because I know I have a veggie option if I want and I get my veggies in. Back Bay's best kept secret. Both as a formerly homeless working gal to a more stable situation, Women's Lunch has been there for me. My most recent resume template was done by one of the career counselors who sadly no longers works there. The advocates were by my side when I decided to pursue fixing my driving record in NJ without getting in jail for unpaid parking if they can help me focus enough to pass the test..that would be great. My license expired in NJ. Minerva was there when I had the Norovirus and she took me to MGH. Thanks again by the way don't think I could have walked there. I have donated sheet music for the piano because a friend of mine Sharon Swann is an accomplished pianist and we would sing along.I do miss the free pastries from Au Bon Pan/Panera they used to get before the renovations. Breakfast just isn't the same. The improvements help and I am glad I was there at the planning meetings and at least the colors that I and few others agreed on were included in the plan. They offer trips that sadly I can never partake because I work but for those who don't have to work the trips to museums and other places are great. They do a lot to encourage creativity with art classes and trips they do photography trips to the Gardens and Commons and other places. I hope someday that the Museum of Art instructional side can form a partnership with Women's Lunch or perhaps Fuller or Eliot for more creative endeavors. See More

I liked the experience vouleentering in the kitchen serving people with food and a smile and how working in a professional kitchen is like outside of culinary school.

Sincere and devoted community. Truly a major blessing for women in need. An inspirational place for women to find security, safety, encouragement, love and so m...uch more. Above and beyond the fabulous nourishment, the personal body care, the great support, is what can only be described as "the family you always wanted". Beautiful!! See More
