I am so glad to joined the "Sustainable Island Tourism Conference" 27- 29NOV2019, at Champagne beach.
There were delegates from 12 countries, including Solomon, PNG, Hawaii, Cook island, Palau, Sayshell islands, Australia including P&O rep, Royal Caribbean Rep, USA, Italy...
It was very important conference for all Pacific islands to met for the first time and discuss what is important to keep our nature for our future lives and tourism.
...I would like to congratulate Jerry Spooner, the director of Tourism Vanuatu, and Ben Kaurua, the manager of Sanma Department of Tourism and their team for the success of the conference.
I was very fortunate and proud to become a Panelist to tell delegates what we do. We work with local communities to promote their nature and culture to protect them.
We had been working with tour operators, accommodation operators in Tanna, Efate, Pentecost, Ambrym, Malekula, Santo, Gaua, Epi, Rah, Vanua Lava, Torres islands. Myself with Violet and Linn can do only little, but we are proud of what we do, and wishing us to work harder to continue work with local communities to protect their nature and culture for the sustainable future of Vanuatu tourism.
