The Upper and Lower Valleys will have some freezing mornings beginning Thursday morning and continue through the weekend. Winter is coming...it may be a good idea to winterize your house and irrigation systems.

The forecast area will get an early preview of winter this coming weekend as forecast models are depicting a strong trough dropping down from Canada and impacti...ng our region Friday through Saturday. Main impacts include the first snow of the season in the mountains, and very cold temperatures for this time of year. Early forecast models have some areas struggling to get out of the 40s on Sunday. Forecast confidence is still moderate at this time, as timing, precise snow amounts, precipitation type in other areas, and temperatures are still determined by forecasters. Stay weather alert, and check back on the forecast every day for updates!
