What's 19 miles high and helps kids? Answer, all the pancakes given away on IHOP® National Pancake day. National Pancake Day is February 27, 2018 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at IHOP restaurant on Clack Street. Enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes and any donation made will go to the Children's Miracle Network. Money raised in Abilene goes to support our own CMN Hospital.
Don Paige presents Joe Spano, Dyess Memorial Park Expansion Committee chair, with a donation to help fund the park which is dedicated to the memory of Dyess Airmen who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The memorial will feature a one-of-a-kind sundial design that allows the sun to enter and mark precise points in time on the memorial grounds. On the anniversary of each incident, light will shine directly on each monument at the exact time of the loss.
