Usually have an amazing time at academy but last night was atrocious. After getting into the club which was an experience itself thanks to one bouncer, my friend and i head downstairs to the bar. The ...bartender was very rude, we ordered two rum and cokes, he poured us vodka lime sodas, when i tried to get his attention to get the correct drinks he glared us down and continued to tap my friends card. We forgot to transfer money and asked him to stop and wait and instead he tried to pay pass it and then get annoyed at us when it was declined. We asked him to wait a secons and he kept flashing the reciept in our faces. Very dissapointed with service last night, it was 10pm when we turned up so not even busy yet. Mehr anzeigen

Had an event here last night and was absolutely amazing! Caleb made everything run smoothly, was very accommodating, answered all my questions, was always quick to respond. And on the night was fantas...tic, always helping and making sure everything ran smoothly! Thank you guys so much! Jake had an incredible time and we appreciate how easy you made that aspect of the party super easy! Thank you so much and would definitely recommend holding events through you guys! Mehr anzeigen

Academy is usually pretty ok, but last night was disgusting. I understand it was Halloween and very busy but damn, one of the bartenders was extremely rude, served a bunch of people before us because ...we were to close to the “no service area” then when she finally took our order she asked for $20, disappeared then came back and said the drinks were actually $28.. She was very rude, exchanged dirty stares and it seemed like she would rather look “hot and sexy” then do her job..

Denied entrance because I was wearing shorts. Dress codes are understandable, but only if they are enforced fairly: Guys wearing even shorter lederhosen and girls wearing next to nothing were free to ...enter. Back home we call that inequitable, and it could be speculated that such behavior could be concealed discrimination. Mehr anzeigen

They overcharged us for Drinks. Their page specifically says $7 vodka redbulls. Got charged $10 for one and was told "can't do anything about it once the transaction is made, Sorry"

Academy hosted my 18th birthday party yesterday, the staff were so lovely and really made my night.. would highly recommend!

Always wanted to go but I was told by the bounces that I could go in because I had shorts on?! Like how are shorts a health or safety risk? The The bounces get they'd f*cking through me on the road. D...oesn't matter you lost $60 because me and two other mates wanted to go in plus I told them to get f*cked and left so I'm okay. So all in all it's not as great as Canberra says it is. I love academy club, I always have a great time but the way I got treated Saturday night by 2 of the staff members was horrible. I got yelled and accused of "running past the girls" and "not showing m...y stamp" when that wasn't what had happened at all. I wasn't drinking all that much so it would be silly to say I couldn't remember what happened as I remember it clear as day, what had happened cause me to hyperventilate. I felt abused and overwhelmed. Pretty hesitant to go back especially because I paid money and this is how I got treated. At least all your staff aren't nasty! Mehr anzeigen

I love the music but I don't like the staff.
My gosh we are just the same people when the customers are all Australian you will give them a big smile but if it's Asian you will give a bad look. girls ...at the front desk, when you come in our country we always gave a big smile and friendly look.. Paid 60 bucks for tpain concert. And then I had to sit through 3 hours of some shit ass no name DJ who had a premade set list and the only real djing he did was to ad some scratches over the top of hi...s playlist which played at least twice, then the support act came on for a whole 10 minutes, then when tpain eventually took the stage at 12:15 giving him 45 mins to do stuff he did a DJ set himself. How about next time you promote a concert let people know if the headline act is doing a DJ set instead of singing which is what people really wanna see. I will not be coming back for another gig, and I may not go back for a night out either now. Mehr anzeigen

Academy, will you release a statement to address the issue re. Holly Costello? Will you confirm you have fired the security guard in question? Are you going to show us that you take this seriously and... people can feel safe in your establishments particularly females?

What about the comments from your guard threatening to bash one of the girls on the comments? What a disgusting attitude your staff have. I hope management take this seriously and your PR team actually address this and show you actually take this seriously. We don't want this swept under the rug. Mehr anzeigen

Used to be a regular but last time I was here my friend and I were sexually harassed and assulted continuously right next to a bouncer who not only watched on but had a good old laugh with a couple of... the guys afterwards. The music is great but when you don't feel safe that's a massive downer. Lift your game Mehr anzeigen

Academy? I just saw bow wow and the event started at 8:30 but bow wow didn't come on until 11:45?????
There was one support artist that wasn't even mentioned on the ticket??? Then another couple of ...hours before bow wow came out for his 45 minute set??? Sick guys probs never gonna go to an event there again hey. Mehr anzeigen

Venue was cool, and lovely bar staff on both floors.

In relation to the Bow Wow event ...

It sucked that people paid $80 for the VIP Bow Wow tickets that said you would get a photo, signed lanyard and champagne on arrival, when it turned out the organisers didn't arrange for a marker so he wasn't able to sign anything and there was no champagne on arrival and you were pretty much thrown out after taking the photo. Also no explanation of when we will get the meet and greet photos.

However, Academy staff got in contact about this issue pretty quickly and advised they would be sorting things out with the promotors who were running the event and will arrange a refund. Mehr anzeigen

I love academy expect for tonight I asked for rum and coke but for vodka and Soda water instead the bartender was rude and I know half the bartenders but this dude i didn’t I didn’t know who he was an...d it was 10 and I had to pay $14 for 2 drinks I didn’t ask for and asked for my actual drinks and tried to tell that’s what I ordered Mehr anzeigen

In 2013, in a secret laboratory at an unknown location, a scientist was developing a social experiment. The objective was to introduce a new concoction to the harder styles, one that mixed the elements of raw and melodic sounds. This blend quickly became unstoppable against all forces. At first the epidemic was thought to have been contained, but a leak was soon discovered.

The scientist, who was only known to the world as “Outbreak” at that time, let the infection out in the... open at the densely populated area of Defqon.1, with the intention to study the effects before implementing a controlled spread across the globe.

After analyzing the positive response, Outbreak revealed his identity at Tomorrowland. The media reports the scientist is JP Pirrello, a music producer and DJ originally from Australia and now based in The Netherlands.

Currently signed to record label “WE R”, JP continues to build his stockpile of weaponized music and shall unveil them in the very near future. With plans to infect the Defqon.1 Australia main stage (and many more) already announced it’s clear that the world has only witnessed the beginning of the “Outbreak”.
