As an empty nester with plenty of gas left in the tank, I find this to be a place to safely stretch out of my comfort zone (the couch), have a cup of coffee, socialize,
listen to music, or just be. No...t into bar scenes so this is a nice alternativ e for date nights with the hubs:) Tammy has created a nice niche in this little Kansas town that ALMOST can make me believe I’m in a cool little coffee house in Manitou Springs or somewhere cool....
The barista asked me if it was my time here after I had ordered a cappuccino
, which it was, she then recommend I try the latte instead because the cappuccino s aren't what was typically used to. That ...was helpful but she neglected to mention that the higher price was for add in flavors not for a larger size as I had assumed, so I'm not sure why when I asked for a small she didn't say anything. Halfway through my order another customer walked in who must have a regular because the barista ignored me for basically the rest of my order and just told me my total while she continued to talk the other customer about how excited she was that she was getting a full weekend off of work this week. I had to wait till she was done talking to even ask why my total was higher than epected, to whihse then explained the pricing system. Not too happy with my service and will not be back.
what can I say, that hasn't already been said? It's a hip spot with great staff with a variety of events happening on the daily! Been coming here for almost 2 months JUST for Old Vinyl Night. I love i...t! Now that's a hot plate!
coffee was good. young lady up front could've been a bit more attentive to who was in line. she told us to wait a couple minutes while she made a coffee, so we sat down at the table right next to the ...register. then she took 2 peoples large orders that were behind us. a little annoying but chalk it up to not being completely
t and the best tea and coffee in town.
I go to Ad Astra every single morning. Usually still in relax at home clothes, slippers and fresh out of the shower wet hair. I usually end up taking over a couch, bare foot with my face in a book. Th...e most important part of my day is the coffee and an hour of peace before I do anything else. I couldn't think of doing this any where else but Ad Astra. Not even my own home compares- hahaha
Cool people come here. Great place to chill and drink great coffee! Tammy and her staff are the nicest folks to do business with! Something going on most nights.

Was the Barista for several years my go to drink is a 2 Shot macchiato and it was the best I've had in quite some time. Nice atmosphere
, I love to look through a good book while enjoying a great coffee.
THis is the best place to hang out, in Salina!! I have met so many open minded folks here, who share my values. It is here where I have made friendship
s which will be everlastin g..I really thought I... was alone with my voice, until I began to connect with others who also felt the same way. thank you Ad Astra, and Tami! (On a side note...ple ase bring back the comfy chairs for those of us who are physically disabled.. . ty)
One of my fave place to go i love the diversity of all the people you see there and all the stuff they do to make it much more than a coffee shop its a community hub
Believe it or not, I have been there for countless times and never actually ordered coffee. My order has always been cocoa. They also introduced
me to vanilla cocoa for the first time and it's DELICIO...US! I absolutely love the environmen t aswell - bookshelve s and games (mainly chess). If you feel like grabbing your book and getting comfy in a warm-looki ng place, as well as a warm cocoa with whip cream on top, in your hands, then that's it!
