ALCA shall be organising trainings on Election Observation. We just need to know how many people might be interested so we can take the idea seriously. At the end of the course any participant who wishes to put knowledge to practice shall be offered accreditation to Observe under ALCA or even as an individual, depending on what s/he would want.
Election Management Bodies (EMBs) do not train elections observers (EOs); they train themselves through one medium or the other. Some EMBs prepare Guidelines for EOs, which is not enough to make you a good observer.
Training of Election Observers for the forthcoming Elections in Cameroon, shall soon commence. Please express your interest as a Facilitator or Participant, for this course.
