We're receiving quite a few messages about how to join our group. We have a charter that we kept on our old website, and it will be updated again as soon as our new site is finished.
It basically boils down to this ...
Our only requirements are an awesome attitude, a love of Ghostbusters and charity and a willingness to do a couple of events per year. No gear or suit is required, just a GB shirt at events until you get something together. Once we're sure all of us are a match... personality-wise, we'll fully welcome you into the fold! We'll post our events on our FB page, and that's how you'll know where to find us.
Next weekend at Magic City Con we'll be part of the Kid Con activities and we can't wait. Head over to MCC's page or website for more info.
KidCon at Magic City Con 2017 Schedule
***Please note: We realize that the Ghostbusters Slime Making & Ghost Hunt and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizard...ry is scheduled for the same time. To accommodate the high volume of children that pre-registered for these activities, we will rotate two groups of children through these activities during the scheduled time. Thank you!
******Your child DOES NOT have to be Pre-Registered to participate in KidCon! ALL KIDS WELCOME!*******
This is awesome! Way to go, Braeden! #GhostbustersDay
IT'S GHOSTBUSTERS DAY EVERYONE!!!
And what better way to celebrate than unveiling our new Hero and member of the Ghostbusters...Braeden!
Sometime last year we w...ere informed about a young Ghostbuster super fan from Iowa that suffered from a respiratory condition known as bronchomalacia. Braeden's illness has consistently interfered with his childhood and that's the type of thing we here at The For The Win Project don't like to hear. What we did like hearing was that Braeden has been obsessed with Ghostbusters since age 3. Having seen the original films literally more than 100 times, we knew we had to meet this cool little dude. Fortunately, at that time Braeden was healthy enough to travel. So we decided instead of us bringing a little bit of Hollywood to him, we'd bring him to Hollywood!
In one of our biggest FTW experiences to date, we raised over $3,500 thanks to our incredible GoFundMe donors, and some help from Sony Pictures/Ghost Corps, to fly Braeden to L.A and put his family up in The Culver Hotel. But it didn't end there. We took over the Sony Pictures Studios lot and had a 30ft tall Stay Puft inflated, the original screen used Ecto-1 Ghostbusters car brought in, an army of actual Ghostbusters, toys, props, artwork, other Ectos, and more. We did all of these amazing things because we wanted Braeden to know he's awesome and remind him why we must always keep fighting. And on those dark days children like Braeden inevitably have, we wanted to give him something positive he can keep and cherish forever. So if your favorite thing is Ghostbusters, and your dream is to be a Ghostbuster, it only makes sense for you to become a Ghostbuster and star in your own Ghostbusters movie right!? So that's what we did for Braeden. We engaged in an epic photo and video shoot thus making Braeden an official Ghostbuster and movie star. He had the time of his life and for a solid day, his bronchomalacia didn't exist to him.
Now here we are, several months later, proudly unveiling the coolest new Ghostbusters movie poster you'll ever see.
Never stop fighting, and never stop believing Braeden. You're a real hero now!
And if you think his movie poster is cool, stay tuned in the next hour as we unveil his official Ghostbusters movie trailer!
Who ya gonna call? BRAEDEN!!! 🚫👻
