Biography
Alan Nasser is Professor Emeritus of Political Economy and Philosophy at The Evergreen State College, where he taught from 1975 to 2006.

Alan received his Doctorate from the Department of Philosophy at Indiana University. He has taught at Indiana University, Binghamton University and Grinnell College, and has had visiting appointments at the University of Oregon, the University of Washington and Hampshire College. He has also delivered invited presentations at Dartmouth College, the University of London, Oxford University, the University of Lille, the University of Peking and York University. His articles have appeared in a range of venues including the Australasian Journal of Philosophy, the International Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, Social Concept, Monthly Review, Mercer Law Review, Religious Studies, Psychoanalytic Review, Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Thought, Global Research, CounterPunch, Common Dreams, Information Clearing House, and others.
He has been an editor of The Insurgent Sociologist and Studies in Medieval Culture.
His current research projects focus on the theory of economic growth in neoliberal capitalism and the structure of a democratic socialist economy. See More
