Thanks to FolkWorld for the kind words!
Kaustinen is a special place for both of us, as Ale has heard so much about it, but has never been there, while it's also the place where Esko grew up. We are very much looking forward to visit this legendary festival, which will be our only concert in Finland this year. Hope to meet new and old friends!
Ale Carr (SE) & Esko Järvelä (FI) are two award-winning, innovative and dynamic young generation folk musicians who ride ...on the highest crest of the wave of Scandinavian folk music. Their collaboration began when the men happened to sit next to each other during a spontaneous jamming session at the WOMEX world music expo. The smooth and together sound of the cittern and the fiddle was instantly discovered. The members of the duo grew up in their home countries in an environment saturated with folk music. This doesn't go unnoticed in their heated and musical way of handling the typical rhythms and finesses of the polska, the schottische and the engelska. Their seamless and virtuosic playing, extreme energy, rich phrasing and genuine folk music rhythm breathe life into traditional Scandinavian folk melodies as well as into the duo's own compositions. For the listener, the experience is breath-taking and unforgettable. Folk musicians all over the world know Ale and Esko from bands such as Frigg, Dreamers' Circus, Baltic Crossing, Basco and Tsuumi Sound System, all of which are at the top of the list of Nordic export products.

Tackar Lira Musikmagasin för en fin recension!
Ale is looking forward to our gig in Stockholm this Saturday! Might know more about how Esko feels about it tomorrow...
Happy to be featured in the RootsWorld Radio. The whole program is great, but if you want to skip to the best part, go to 56:00.

Thanks to Folkmusikkaféet Allégården in Göteborg for a fantastic evening, especially the great dance session after the concert. Next gig in Stockholm in February, hope to see you there! If you have any ideas of just the right venue for us, please give us tips below, and we'll see what we can do to stop by.
