not just a pretty bowl of citrus. limone to be exact. fresh-picked and hand delivered to my shop from a customer. as a thank you I sent the husband home with a quart of white bean chicken chili. the couple were back the next day to buy more, which lead us to talk about how to garnish the chili, then what to drink, and the perfect use for the limone, margaritas! then we discussed where to get a good one in town. this lead me to contact the couple who stopped in the day before... who rescued my escape artist dog. they came for lunch and stayed the afternoon. we engaged in conversation, in particular about food and drink, and margaritas! why do I go on and on about all this? COMMUNITY. feeling especially grateful for the web of friendships and acquaintances I have woven. small acts of kindness and generosity speak volumes, especially now. oh, and a margarita works too.
