The people you see behind me have all agreed to have ice cold water dumped on their heads in exchange for Allentown making a significant contribution to the ALS Association. Instead of singling out any one individual or organization, Allentown would like to encourage everyone in our industry to take this challenge and support ALS research." Note - As of Wednesday, August 20, The ALS Association has received $31.5 million in donations compared to $1.9 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 20). #IceBucketChallenge

When Robert Stewart, Facilities Manager at Newcastle University, completed his oversight of a major refurbishment and redesign of the university's Comparative Biology Centre facility, he saw a chance to upgrade his lab animal housing equipment as well.

After only 7 months, the Allentown Health Initiative Going the Distance Challenge is at nearly 75% of Goal! With 5 months left for completion, our dedicated employees have logged close to 20,000 Fitness Miles in our corporate quest for better health and well-being! Way to go!



Allentown is in the business of better health. To promote that effort within our corporate family we launched the Allentown Health Initiative, a program for employees to encourage us to lead healthier lives. Our first AHI initiative was the Going the Distance Challenge where, as a company, we committed ourselves to reach 26,000 fitness miles in one year.
