Today is Kati Bihu.Kati Bihu, also known as Kongali Bihu is one of the three prominent Bihu festivals of Assam. It is celebrated on the last day of Assamese Aa...hin month (sixth month of the Assamese calendar).
Seen here is a special lamp made out of the outer layer of an elephant apple, on a bamboo holder,which is used only during Kati Bihu .Lamps like these are placed throughout the paddy fields back home today, praying for a good harvest.
