This is our 3rd year attending Midsummer as it is one of our favourite events in Hamilton but this year was just not the same. I felt there was no emphasis on the food drive and almost no mention of i...t on the event page. There were only 2 food places. Last year there was painting , bubble soccer, art displays, a wishing tree, yoga and acrobatics and just such an awesome feeling of community and imagination. This year the focus seemed only to be on waiting the 30 mins to throw the colour. I hope this was just an off year and next year the event is a better celebration with more of the original spirit of Holi present because we really love Midsummer. See More

I've been going since 2013, and have loved it every single time. So much fun, and I always see people I haven't seen in a long time. Midsummer's Dream really brings people together

This year I was very disappointed that 1. There was no new buff this year??? And the colours used this year seemed bland in comparison to last years. Unfortunate.

To many fights and my girlfriend's brother got jumped by a whole bunch of teenagers and stole his shoes but thankfully he's okay!

Energetic, artistic, fun, colourful, maybe a bit pricy, stations were spaced out unevenly, causing long, tiring walks across the park, and there needs to be guidance of where is what. No one was able find the Dreaming Church. I get that music is a big part of the festival but it didn't have to be deafeningly loud, making it unbearable to stay near the band shell for more than 5 consecutive minutes. Tea was disgusting See More

It was so nice having some of my family together laughing and having not a stressful thought running through our minds when we played like we were all young again. Will definitely extend our group nex...t year. Such a great event! See More
