NC Division Lt. Commander Ron Perdue (R) and me discussing final details for the Confederate Memorial Service for NC's last "Real Son" Clifford B. Hamm. Commander Perdue was the Master of Cermonies, and I the keynote speaker for the event.

I do not have the words to describe how honored the two of us were to be asked by the family to participate in the Service.

...

It is overwhelming to realize that Commander Perdue and I have performed the same duties, at the request of the respective family's, for the Memorial Services for "Real Daughter" Mattie Clyburn Rice and "Real Son" Clifford B. Hamm. A feat that will NEVER be accomplished again.
