Ubuntu, er, I should say Xubuntu, saves the day! Been struggling replacing a server's hard drive today. Trying to rsync it from single user mode was taking forever, like 10% in a little under an hour. Found out hard drive is running at 2MB/s! Yikes! So I download Xubuntu Alternate, boot the rescue system, and start transferring at 35 MB/s. Whew.
