Regardless of what we do, sometimes it does indeed take a village. The Franklin County Arts Guild Arts and Ales Scholarship Fundraiser held yesterday at the Mon...terey Station in Cowan is an example of such a village. We had our leaders and enforcement and peace makers - (Nancy Wallace, Margie Gallagher, Joe Butler, Pat Richards Bishop, Mark Ledbetter, Denise Miller to name a few). We had those who provided the education and arts for our village (Pippa Brown, Frances Perea, Cathy Norrell, Kim Previtt, and many more). Those who are always there to help with whatever needs to be done (Kim Phillips, Maryann Morrison, Patty and Mackie Priest, Pat Underwood, Dwain and Joyce Adams and a host of others). And the village itself? ALL of those who came together to enjoy an afternoon celebrating ARTS and ALES, our brewing friends, our entertainment (The Secret Commonwealth and James Patton & the Synchromatics), all the named and unnamed (but you are all important and integral to this village). The loss of any one of you would be a tear in our Arts Village! Thanks to each and everyone of our villagers for making our 4th Annual Arts and Ales such a success. You've helped to ensure scholarships for county students who wish to pursue the arts for the coming years, and I hope you'll come back and be a part of our village and remain a part of the Arts in our County, for years to come! Come join us at our Community Shows and our Guild Member shows. These shows are for all of our friends in the Arts. And from me, and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helps keep the ARTS VILLAGE strong in Franklin County!!!
