DEAR FRIENDS: It takes four to five hours per day to reformat photos and the copy of one edition of ATGT. There are eight years of weekly or bi-weekly episodes that should take another ten months or so to complete.

It also takes a few additional hours per day to promote our page and answer messages. When a person becomes a friend, I send them a personal thank you.

If you could all do me a big favor and recommend us to people you know who might be interested in being friends... of ATGT, it would save me valuable time to increase output and get some rest.

I'm determined to complete this project.

Thanks so much for your interest in ATGT 2000-2008.

MORE WHAT IS FIRE ISLAND LIKE IN THE WINTER TIME

...

Hi again! In this weeks’ column, I’d like to show our summer resident friends moreof what the winter residents of Fire Island see each and every Winter! These pictures were taken on 1/14/04-1/18/04 with the temperatures staying between 0°F and 2°F for at least 2 days. The wind was NW 28-35MPH, and we got a quick 6+ inches of snow!

Hmm.... should I take a quick walk to the Ocean on this Thursday morning, 1/15/04?

The storms took away the Lifeguard stands. Wonder why the Town didn't put them away this year?

At 0°F, ice forms on the inside of single pane windows! Our door is the only single pane or is it pain?

The beach on Friday 1/16/04. It's somewhat rare to see "slush breakers" in the Ocean!

The tide is low here, but with the Ocean Ice at the waters edge, tide height has no meaning!
