We each have a unique journey. ASUNM is thankful to have a university president who proves that hard work and dedication can lead to amazing achievements. Thank you, President Abdallah, for your continued dedication to the student of the The University of New Mexico - UNM
ASUNM is incredibly disappointed in the failure of lawmakers to find solvency for the Legislative Lottery Scholarship. In President Brooks' open letter, he proposed an extension to the Liquor Excise Tax that would have kept the scholarship solvent in the coming years and protected students during the efforts to find a long term financial solution.
Students strongly opposed these decreases to the scholarship and we are deeply troubled that lawmakers across the state did not make saving the scholarship a priority.
“So many thousands of students rely on the lottery scholarship, and I’m disheartened that nothing came to fruition,” Brooks said, noting that UNM students already are facing rising tuition and fees.
It's not too late to apply for a position with ASUNM! Find the application on ASUNM.unm.edu and turn in at the ASUNM office in the SUB.

Student will see an increase of $18 per credit hour next semester, but this is less than the $23 that was originally proposed at the meeting.
We want to thank the Regents and UNM for listening to the student voice and lowering the number.
