I just want you all to know that my father showed me your fantastic ...record "My Favorite Record" when I was just a little shit who thought that punk rock was the be-all end-all of music. He showed me that record and it kicked my ass, in the best way possible. He died April 11th from complications due to surgery, and you are one of the artifacts (in the best way possible) that I have to remember him by. You are among Radiohead and Frank Black as artists that I was shown by him that expanded my musical landscape to become the mildly competent musician that I am today. They all remember setting up the three-day “The Last Laugh” finale in their hometown of Austin, Texas at the Cactus Café, Ruta Maya and Spider House Ballroom. But, honestly, that’s the last thing any of them remember.

Nevada here, remember me? I played guitar and sang with Gods favorite band for almost ten years so perhaps I'm his favorite guitarist. My stage moniker these days though is "The singing take-a-break man." Y'all know how much I hate to wo...rk and that's exactly what I've been doing for a little over two years. Yep, I had to stop off in Dayjob City for a minute. Good things are happening though!
In just a few weeks I'll be hittin' the road after a few years off. Doing a little run up north where it's really cold. Seriously, really *@#!#?ing cold. Minneapolis, Steven's Point, Milwaukee and Madison. But we shall rock the house and and have warm good times! Looking frwd to jammin' with The Mad Polecats. Check 'em out. Rastabilly!
Here in Austin I've also had the pleasure of working on a record with a few folks that you may be familiar with. Recognize anyone in the second pic? That's the Hot Nut Riveters and you can find them here on FB. The record sounds incredible and I was able to contribute a few songs, one of which is my "Anti Work Song" or "F#@$ Work!" or simply "I Don't Like Work." Be sure to check them out or hit me up on my personal page. Oh, and if you happen to be in KC on Feb. 18 the Riveters will be at Knuckleheads. Here in Austin we start a new residency on Monday evenings 8:00 at the White Horse.
