Attended the Elizabeth Cook show. I haven’t Ben to the Averitt in at least a year. Everything was better than I remembered. The staff are gracious and informative. A nice touch was Eagle Creek Brewing... offering “samples” of their locally brewed beers. As for the show, the sound was incredible. I had attended many plays and musicals over the years, but no real musical act. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded. See More

Great programs for all ages: dance, voice, musical instruments, chorus, painting, ceramics, literature, and more. I've been especially impressed with the youth theater instruction, ceramics instruct...ion, choral instruction, and the dance programs: youth ballet and tap, and adult tap and ballroom. We're lucky to have it all here. See More

Very happy to have been a part of this great center during the years my daughter Ashley N. Rawls was dancing and singing with various programs that were held at this location. Great programs for young... developing citizens of our area. See More

So much culture and art in the heart of downtown. A true beacon of hope. This place truly brings the gap that exists in Statesboro. Nowhere else can the "statesboro elite" mingle freely with the rural... community and the college community. Truly something for everyone. Always. See More

With family and friends coming in town for a wedding, I recently made a list of things to do in the Boro. Besides our favorite restaurants, walking trails, shopping centers, parks, and other entertai...nments, I made sure the Averitt Center was on the list. It's a great place to show off to those coming from out of town - The beautiful building in the heart of downtown, and not only because of the art galleries, special exhibitions, and its theater, but also because of all it offers the children in our town. From Youth Theater to Youth Chorale, Youth Ballet, Youth Art, after school programs, as well as the many summer programs, there is something for every child no matter their interest or age! The Averitt Center is really something to SHOWCASE in our town! See More
