The Bad River AODA program, along with Wisconsin Department of Healt...h Services, are working to raise awareness of the prescription painkiller abuse crisis in Wisconsin, especially among those at highest risk: Native Americans ages 12-25. The BR Drug Task Force has been working on an organizational template to address the opioid crisis/drug epidemic called the “Tribal Action Plan" (or TAP). The first “DRAFT” of the Tribal Action Plan is almost complete but needs community input. The TAP will be presented for feedback at various meetings throughout the community such as: En-Nisidotaading A Shared Vision on May 16th; A BR Community ~ Tribal Action Plan Meeting on June 25th, and also at the Health Fair on June 26th, watch for upcoming fliers for details.
