Happy New Year 2018.
Lots of fun at Waitakere Holi 2018 organised by Waitakere Indian Association supported by Radio Tarana and Indian Newslink. With Alfred Ngaro
#DiwaliNZ in Wellington

A productive visit to Spain lead by Speaker Trevor Mallard accompanied by Amy Adams, Jacqui Dean MP and Priyanca Radhakrishnan. Warm discussion with the regional and central government. We also visited businesses with New Zealand connections.

Just how much are these working groups costing New Zealand taxpayers? This money could be better spent on more health, education, and other essential public services.

Education (Protecting Teacher Title) Amendment Bill removes the ability of those who have not gained certain recognised teaching qualifications from using the title “teacher”.
A person who uses the title “teacher” such as Tabla Teacher, dance teacher and does not meet the criteria, will be liable for a $2000 fine.
The Attorney General (David Parker) ruled that this Bill unjustifiably violates the NZ Bill of Rights Act 1990.
The Education Council strongly opposed this Bill in its submission to select committee.

It was an amazing time at Pacifika Auckland 2018 with Hon. Simon Bridges Leader of the Opposition and National Party colleagues. Auckland has the biggest Pacific population in the world and it was good to see them celebrating diversity.

It was an absolute privilege to meet the former President Barack Obama last night at a dinner held in Auckland.

The President had great insights on world politics, transitioning from being the President to being a private citizen, on leadership and how any leader should have diverse inputs from the youth, women, men, ethnics and etc.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and that too a great learning experience, especially as an ambitious politician.

The Herald reports: Police are hunting for an Auckland teenager believed to be responsible for a prolific “crimewave” while on bail and facing a raft of serious charges, including kidna…

It was my honour and privilege to join Hon. Simon Bridges to meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo. Wide range of discussion took place including trade, tourism and geothermal energy.

Activities by National Party MP’s during last week. Joined Local MP David Bennett and number of concerned dairy owners to discuss the recent spate of increasingly violent robberies in Hamilton. Labour Government’s soft attitude toward crime is giving wrong signal to these criminals.
