We decided to continue on and get our Open Water Certificat
The support staff at Ban's are equally awesome. The girls at reception are MVPs and changed our ferry and train tickets when we extended our stay. Shout out to the guy who works at the equipment deck desk. Super friendly and always had solid advice on things to do/places to see.
TL;DR: Great amenities,
We will be back!
I've been an Advanced Diver for years and was looking forward to a couple of casual dives with my husband at Ban's as we were staying at the resort - but it never came to that!
The staff at the Dive Center were just rude!! We just wanted some welcoming informatio
It was also a shock that they wanted us to do a Refresher Course in the pool for three hours. In an email months before I got informed it was only 'recommend
It was also disappoint
While we stayed at the Resort, it became obvious that Ban's is like a mass production
We'll be back in Koh Tao, but not at this Dive Center.
The course was made easy as the instructor
What we... experience
You will not be disappoint
Ban's IDC candidates all passed the IE and are going to become PADI Instructors.
See the smiles on their faces and the tears of joy as their life is about to take a new turn.
Introducing... the PADI Skill Circuit.
During the PADI Divemaster and Instructor courses, candidates learn to demonstrate many scuba skills. 20 of them are regr...ouped in Divemaster Skills Evaluation Workshop, also known as the Skill Circuit.
For the next 2 months, we are going to release a skill demonstration video on our YouTube Channel, every other day. These demonstrations are performed by Platinum Course Directors Natalie Hunt and Guillaume Fargues.
And we begin with... the C.E.S.A.!
The Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent (C.E.S.A.) is always recognized as one of the most important skills that is taught in the PADI system of education. You use it to ascend safely if you are out of air, shallower than 10 meters (30 feet) and cannot get help.
It is also a skill that has many critical attributes and requires a detailed demonstration. When practiced in confined water, this ascent is simulated horizontally.
Most candidates will be asked to demonstrate this in confined water, during the PADI Instructor Examination.
