the most poorly run bus system I have ever seen. I came In from interlochen, pulled right up to the 4 bus and before I could get off the 12 the 4 bus pulled away. This has happened twice. I called to ...lodge a complaint but all I got was a place to record my message. Today the 4 drove by the bus stop but did not stop. See More

Awesome service! Great drivers. So excited for the new routes!!! I would definitely recommend BATA as a really great transit option to anyone who is looking for an alternative to driving.

Waited at the window this morning for over 10 min. Just to add money on my sons bus card. But the guy was too busy on the phone.

Village loops really need at least one early morning bus on weekends. It would benefit a lot of people. I am happy BATA exists but there is a lot of room for improvement.

I am so thankful to have the BATA bus to get places. The bus drivers are wonderful. You can't beat the price of a ride. There are a lot of people that count on BATA for transportation and they do a... great job providing those rides. See More

Most fustrating thing about bata bus is how they only run every hour from 12-3 and on the weekends. Also I had a very bad experience trying to schedule a pick up and the guy I was talking to was so and condescending, he acted like I should of known to call several days in advance to schedule a ride not the night before. And refused to help me schedule a pick up after I called him out on his rude behavior. Also editing to add there was a period where I rode the bus daily with my daughter when she was an infant at the time, the older guy on route 4 would watch me STRUGGLE with getting my daughter and stroller on the bus. Other bus drives have always helped me get my stroller on because it wasted time waiting for me to do everything myself. See More

On the 12 and just turned around into backed up traffic to pick someone up that was "missed at transfer". This bus system is consistently terrible. It is a rarity if 3 is on schedule. Seriously, get i...t together bata. The community depends on you. See More

They get a lot of hate in the Traverse City area, but regardless of having 1 bad experience or whatever, people must realize that without this crucial service that is provided, not very many people wo...uld be able to have regular lives and would prove to be egregious econ wise and so on, so I always look at it that way, this is a crucial needed service due to how many people in the TC area are already struggling, and this helps a lot. Nothing is perfect but, be thankful that there is Bata to help those without regular transportation! See More

Was very happy with the individual that I spoke with on the phone about NYE rides the other day, very pleasant and informative. However called several times for a ride on NYE and could not reach anyon...e. We were forced to grab a random cab and pay twice as much. I realize its a very busy night but an automated message saying they're closed was not what we were looking for, even after walking to the station (this was at 12:30/ was advertised they would be giving rides until 2). We hope to use bata in the future with better luck. See More

I enjoy being able to travel from cadillac to traverse city and around the traverse city area :) the 1st time I rode with yall the driver was pretty rude I asked how he was he didn't say a word 2 me I... enjoy a little interaction with my driver also he had a lot of road rage I'm in a wheelchair and he hit a curb and it really jarred me around and he didn't even ask if I was ok..but since that time I would say my experience on the bata bus has been really good!!!! They all have been really nice to me :) See More

I feel confident in the drivers and that they will get me where I need to
go fast and safe. I have chosen bata as my transportation since I was a pre-teen.
Some drivers like ED and Doug, will make yo...u leave in a better mood then when you got on.
I remember feeling down and just crappy and when I left the bus; I was smiling and happy. I think a some of your driver's bata or not just drivers but... wizards I don't know there you have it! I hope that bata lasts for a long time. It's such a great service to Traverse City as well as connecting surrounding counties.

First time bata riders and already rode for the second time. Will definitely use again. Great cheaper option for riding downtown in the evening instead of taking a cab.

Improvements still NEEDED (for City Loops). I'm grateful for Bata and their services, but only when their services help mine and my family's life, rather than make it more difficult. We do not have a ...vehicle, so we have no choice but to be almost completely dependent on Bata when we can't walk/bike, and for several years now. Throughout those years there has been a consistent problem with drivers on City Loops either leaving stops early or cruising right by them and not stopping at all when they're running ahead of the scheduled stop time. This is beyond unacceptable. I've lost count how many times my family has missed important appointments because of this happening. Many families, such as mine, have a lot going on in their lives and need to be able to count on bata, and if people get to the stop by the scheduled time, then the bus should be there. And no matter how many times I've called to report this over the years, it just keeps happening. I've actually had drivers deny doing this to my face, and be unprofessional enough to try to argue with me about it, so I can't help but wonder if they also deny doing it to their supervisor? Is it an issue of it's the drivers word against mine when they're talked to about it? Or, are they being talked to at all? Does Bata, as a whole, care about their customers? I don't know, but until the problem is resolved, I can only keep wondering.. what exactly is the problem, and why can't someone get it under control for the public? I want my feelings and words about bata to be positive when I speak about them to other people. Unfortunately, I feel my valid complaints have been for nothing, that I have not been heard, and so speaking of them in a positive manner will continue to be a challenge. If I'm to be positive, I'd say that, I'm grateful to have bata... it's better than not having any public transportation services at all... and that's all I got. I'd advise people who are new to bata to plan their trip AT LEAST a full HOUR ahead of schedule if they have somewhere to be that's very important, otherwise there's no way of knowing if the bus will pick them up at the stop at the scheduled stop time, or if the bus won't show up, only for them to call and find out the bus already came through that stop and cruised by it BEFORE the stop time. It's difficult to remain grateful when a solution to this problem seems to be consistency non-existent. And this is just my chief complaint about bata. The other problems I have with bata are tolerable, but this one is not, it is unacceptably inexcusable and needs to be fixed, permanently, for the public who depends on them in their lives. These drivers shouldn't be ALLOWED to keep doing this. Period. See More

Maybe the driver is a jerk because it smells like farts on here, I wouldn't be a happy person ifI had to smell farts constantly. Doesn't quite explain his crazy driving through. Well at least he hasn'...t shut the door on me yet today, small victories. See More

Bata is often late and ignores schedules rides. The only redeeming quality is a few of the bus drivers, but for the most part it's not a great experience.
