I was a camp counselor in 1999 and taught dance for the summer... I loved every minute of beber camp! I would love to get back in touch with campers and counselors from then :-)

Beber camp is the most amazing place in the entire world. It gives kids a way to express themselves and opportunities they would never be given elsewhere. I should be the last person to write a bad review since my grand father Sam Beber funded the camp in 1976 however he would be rolling over in his grave if he knew the injustices the board and staff ar...e carrying out at the direction of those seeking to harm me and my daughter. Now twice in two years I have attempted to register my then seven year old daughter and now eight in camp so she could follow her birth right legacy. The first time the staff welcomed our request with open arms then when it got back to a estranged family member who is on the board that we wanted to send her, all of a sudden the camp was full... before registration was even open! I had to go to a 2nd cousin on the board in order for her to be considered for this summer. Once they did accept our registration the staff director was not honest and forthcoming with us and played games as well as gave us the runaround on very simple and reasonable concerns. She refused to keep all communications confidential as well as not escort our young daughter to her flight even though she was doing the same for other campers. Eventually even after paying we got a notice of canceling her registration. This camp is not acting in the best interest of Jewish children and undermining everything my grandfather stood for.. The staff and board should be ashamed of themselves
