The following locations will be donating 10% of sales from open to close to Wings of Rescue and the Houston Humane Society. They will also be accepting pet food donations for the Oregon Humane Society. So far, Wings of Race has flown over 50 pets to Oregon – these are animals ready for adoption. This allows room for the displaced pets that are going to the Houston Humane Society so owners can find them more easily.

Tuesday, June 20, 2017 is World Refugee Day. Join us on a 3.4 mile walk making half-hour stops at all 14 Hosford-Abernethy and Buckman breweries for a half-pint. (If you order the lowest ABV beer, that's 7 sessionable pints over 10 hours!)

This year, some 1,800 refugees will find their new home in Portland in search of hope and a safe place to live.

The Beer Party PDX's mission is to protect and promote basic civil rights including voter access, freedom of speech, and equal r...ights with the support of the local beer community. We recommend that everyone who participates in this pub crawl--in whole or in part--donate $20 to Refugee Care Collective (RCC): refugeecare.org/Portland.

Individuals are responsible for purchasing their own beer; to expedite service for our party, bring 10 $5 and 10 singles to cover price of beer AND tip. (Expect to spend $60 throughout event.) Watch for updates on individual breweries' own RCC support as well as snacks and other support provided for our group.

The anticipated itinerary is below. Even if you can't make it until 5pm, the more the merrier. For the sake of the schedule, the group cannot lollygag or be delayed.

Join us at The BeerMongers this Wednesday beginning at 5PM where members of Beer Party PDX will be on hand to greet new (and familiar) faces, share info on who we are and what we’re up to and, with the help of Montavilla Brew Works and Mongers, raise funding for our future endeavors.

Our first event raised over $8K for the ACLU and we’re far from finished. We hope to see you there!

"Booth, 71, is one of the nation’s most influential organizers for progressive causes. Inside almost every liberal drive over the past five decades ― for fair pay, equal justice, abortion rights, workers’ rights, voter rights, civil rights, immigration rights, child care ― you will find Booth."

Think she'd join us for a beer?

Heather Booth doesn’t look like a revolutionary. She sits demurely on a sofa, dressed simply in black, fingering a silver necklace. She speaks softly, selecting her words with care and enunciating cleanly. Dignity. Respect. Community. ...

I wonder if our friends at Terminal Gravity Brewery and Pub, or the brand new Side A Brewing in La Grande would like some help from the Beer Party.

Yesterday—four days after the U.S. House of Representatives vote to repeal the Obama-era Affordable Care Act—U.S. Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) held town hall meetings in three rural towns in his district.

"Now the Wisconsin case is headed to a Supreme Court that has repeatedly said that extreme partisan gerrymanders are unconstitutional, but has never found a way to decide which ones cross the line.

Some legal scholars believe this could be the year that changes that."

Justices have long said that drawing districts based on extreme partisanship is unconstitutional, but haven’t found a way to decide when lines are crossed.
