Belchertown Education Foundation Debut at the Belchertown Fair September 22-24!

The Belchertown Education Foundation is making its debut at this year’s fair with a booth full of fun and prizes. Responding to the fiscal constraints experienced by our school system, parents and community members have come together with a common purpose to provide grants and awards that help our schools and teachers meet the diverse needs of students. The Belchertown Education Foundation has a ...mission of supporting the academic, artistic, and athletic pursuits of Belchertown's children as they develop into well-educated and well-rounded young adults. We have established a board of directors and the organization's not-for-profit 501(c)3 status is pending.

Many local communities enrich their schools through education foundations and we’re excited to share that Belchertown is now doing this, too.

The Belchertown Education Foundation is self-funded and dependent upon generous contributions from community members, businesses, school alumni and families. Please consider making a donation in the Foundation’s inaugural year as an investment in our students and the future of this community.

Stop by our fair booth for fun games and amazing prizes including an X-Box Kinect and a Laser Tag party for 10. Share your contact information to get involved in future Foundation events. Look for the booth with the big blue ribbons and learn more about our mission to enrich the educational experience of students in Belchertown Public Schools. The booth will be staffed by the Foundation board members who would like to hear what’s important to you. See you at the fair!

Great news! The Belchertown Education Foundation has applied for not-for-profit status and will soon have opportunities for you to get involved. Together, we can optimize the educational experience for students of Belchertown Public Schools.

Who are we and what do we do?
The BEF is an independent and self-funded organization created with the vision of supporting programs, resources, and opportunities that stimulate and nurture the whole child, including academic, creative an...d athletic pursuits for students enrolled in the Belchertown, Massachusetts public schools.

Why was the BEF established?
Like other communities in Massachusetts and across the nation, Belchertown is experiencing fiscal constraints. A motivated group of parents and other constituents first came together in 2016 with a common purpose to help our schools meet the diverse needs of its student population by optimizing the educational experience. We are joining many local communities who already have education foundations in place.

The BEF will soon seek the support of businesses, families, alumni, community leaders, and other citizens who share the belief that strong public schools are essential for a thriving community. We hope we can count on you!

More news will be shared soon.

May 3, 2016

Belchertown Education Foundation was founded by parents and community members in May 2016. We are pleased to share we have applied for not-for-profit status and will soon seek support from our community to fulfill our mission and purpose.

MISSION & PURPOSE
The Belchertown Education Foundation (BEF) is an independent and self-funded organization that was created with the vision of supporting programs, resources, and opportunities that stimulate and nurture the whole child, inc...luding academic, creative and athletic pursuits for students enrolled in the Belchertown, Massachusetts public schools.

Like other communities across the nation and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Belchertown is experiencing severe fiscal constraints, which are in turn limiting the ability of its public schools to fully meet the diverse needs of its population and deliver an enriching educational experience. Accordingly, BEF seeks to enhance the resources available to optimize the educational experience of students now and in the future.

VISION
The vision of Belchertown Education Foundation is to be a contributing force in a vibrant future for Belchertown, through philanthropic support of a multifaceted, meaningful and fulfilling education for our public school students.
