I have been going to Bellaboo’s for almost 6 years. I agree that in the last couple years things have declined. Please don’t sweep this under the rug. this is a great place. I completely agree with... complaints about the café and the staff. They need a lot more training the café was absolutely terrible last time I went in both attitude and service and the wait time was horrendous. The coffee I got literally must have been sitting there all day. I couldn’t even drink it it was absolutely terrible and I had three kids to worry about and it wasn’t worth it to go complain about coffee. Had already waited so long for my food and they had gotten the order wrong several times. I was just fed up. The staff needs better training and it needs to be more service oriented. We are guests. Also a the cafe is pricey and I would feed my kids there more often if I didn’t have to spend so much money. I always make sure to eat before they come and then bring snacks for after, but I would just eat there if it was more affordable. See More

What happened?!? This place used to be absolutely awesome. I had every intention of holding my sons 3rd Birthday party here until yesterday. We came in for a birthday party yesterday expecting fun. we had was very lacking. Our “guide”, who had bandages on her neck, like that’s not at all scary to kids, showed zero interest in interacting with our very small party. There were other parties going on, and you could overhear the other guides enthusiasm and willingness to make sure the birthday boy/girl was enjoying their party. We saw and heard a few birthday parades throughout our visit as well. Did our guide do that with us? No. The paint room was closed, stacked floor to ceiling with boxes. The 2 easels were in the ship room and were covered in paint, no paper to be found. I pointed it out to the guide and she chose to do nothing about it, left the room, and eventually came back with paper but for what purpose? The easels were unusable! Skip ahead to the chaos that was the kitchen/vet area. There were 2 other parties in there using it when she had us go in there. Kids were upset over not getting to play. When it was time to change rooms, guide would quietly announce we had to move, get us to the room, then disappear. Every time. I ordered 2 cappuccinos around 3:45 and the man behind the counter looked completely overwhelmed by it. He asked another girl to make them and she did, by not without disgust and attitude. Took nearly 15 minutes to get them. When it was time to go to the birthday room, one pizza was already in the room, not hot, and the second pizza arrived 10 minutes later. The music was on in other party rooms, ours was dead silent. Guide didn’t even ask if we wanted it on. Birthday boy had a hard time so we went straight to cake and even that was a chore. No enthusiasm from her. Nothing. What has happened to this place? We’ve been to many parties here in the past 2 years. Even visited about 4 times over the summer. This was a huge disappointment to myself, my son, and the entire party. You really dropped the ball. Is management to blame? Partly. Your staff needs retraining and lessons on decent customer service. As for our birthday party? We will be going someplace else now. I can’t believe someone has to pay over $200 for such bad service. I just had a negative experience with the Assistant Manager Jeanette, who I found very rude and unprofessional so much so that I decided to cancel our class trip. I ignored the rudeness the first time..., but I will be contacting the owners. When I asked for the manager's name, she threatened to call the school and complain also. Maybe customer relations training may help. Prior to this all of my encounters have been very positive. This is very sad and disheartening. See More

My 2 year old loves coming here. We’ve gone multiple times and have had good experiences. My only complaint is the food menu... there are multiple food allergies in my family and the menu is very limi...ted. The service when ordering food is also very slow. Other than the food we’ve been pleased! See More

I was such a fan of this place, but my opinion has soured lately. Most importantly they no longer have bracelets matching to the child you took there. I always stay with the kids, but if one ran off,... I didn't have to worry about them leaving the building.
Another thing that has changed is that the kids can only go to one cooking class a day. REALLY? Explain that to a 3 year old, I can't.
The foodcourt is very slow, the place smells like a dirty sock, and worst than that, occasionally an employee will empty a can of Lysol in the place. While they close at 6p, the employees start closing stuff down to clean around 5.
Little things add up, and maybe someone who did not go there 5 years ago, and didn't see how it used to be, would love it.

I held my son’s first birthday party here and it was a blast. We also have a year pass and it has definitely been worth it for the past couple months to be able to get out somewhere and stimulate litt...le minds on cold winter days. Thank you! See More

The front staff, specifically Natalie, was amazing! She made my daughter feel very welcome & excited to be there. There are so many fun things to do! She never got bored. The facility wasn’t as clean it has been in the past. The Family Bathroom is a great convenience to have but it needs a thorough cleaning & some repair. Overall, a nice visit! See More

We took our 4 year old here this past Sunday. Though it was Sunday, I was surprised at how few people were there. Our son had a blast in all of the play areas. I thought the little activities the staf...f ran were cute.. children's cooking, story time, etc. We got lunch at the cafe because we spent 4 hours here and were a little over an hour away from home. The food was good, but it was expensive and took FOREVER. The bathrooms were dirty, that is my only real complaint. See More

I had been here twice in the past few years for birthday parties and always thought it was great for kids! Yesterday I finally had the chance to take my own son (13 months old) and we were so excited go! I knew he may be too small for a lot of things but there was still enough to keep him busy-that was not the issue. My issue was how dirty/broken everything was! We arrived around 2pm, and I was pleasantly surprised at how empty it was. We wanted to eat lunch first so we ordered our food with no issues. But when looking for somewhere to sit we noticed most tables/booths were very dirty and the highchairs were absolutely disgustingly filthy! I did not even want to put my son in any of them! We eventually found a semi clean spot and I cleaned off one of the high chairs myself since my son had to sit somewhere but then the entire time we were eating there were flies all around us. I was hoping the food area was the only dirty spot, but unfortunately a lot of the rooms seemed unclean as well. My son LOVED the water room, but all of the smaller aprons/smocks that fit him were all ripped/broken. So then not only were his hands wet, his shirt was also wet and when we went to use the hand dryer in the room to try to dry off a little that was also broken. Overall my son had an okay time but my husband and I were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the entire place and with the condition of a lot of the rooms, especially for the high price we paid to get in. Not sure when we will be back, it probably won't be for a while though! See More

This is one of favorite summertime stops! I love how clean and organized this place is. Don't let the other reviews of it being "dirty" deter you because I've been here at least 4 times in the last th...ree years and it's always been so clean and taken care of. I've been to other places like this they were awful and looked like they had never been cleaned. The girl who did the cooking class today was so sweet and good with the kids! The staff is always friendly. We can't wait to come back! My kids talk about bellaboos all year! Thank you! See More

My kids (age 5 and 2) had a great time at BellaBoo's. We have been to several other places similar to this and I thought it was very clean compared to those. There was so much to do and I loved how ...each activity had it's own room. Also nice that they give each family matching wristbands so if your child does get away from you, you don't have to worry about them getting outside or leaving with someone else. I was extremely happy with our experience there, thank you for a great day! See More

My 7 year old wanted to come here so I agreed and brought my 10 year old along. Apparently you can only be 9 and under to play so my 10 year old kept getting reprimanded. All she wanted to do was to i...nteract with her sister. She was not playing independently. Why do I have to pay as an adult and pay for a child who doesn't even get to play either? We left early because she was so upset that she kept getting reprimanded. We are expecting our third child any day and I can promise that we will not be back with him. Both of my other kids will be "too old" to play when he is old enough. See More

Bellaboos is an amazing place to take your young children! Their staff is amazing! If you are a NWI region resident there is no need to take your child to the Chicago Children's Museum. We have an AMA...ZING, interactive children's activity center right here in our backyards! See More

The idea of the place is great. The set up of the different rooms is also very good. It was so messy that my grandson would not go into the dress up areas, or kitchen, pizza area. Parents were just... letting their children run wild. I believe in children having fun, but this was distructive behavior. I was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years and you don't teach respect by letting children run wild. When the behavior was brought up to an employee, she said she couldn't tell the parents they had to watch their children because they would get mad. What??????!!!! Some rules should be posted as to how children should behave and that parents must stay in the room in which their child is playing and that pick up is a must so all children can enjoy each and every room. I was very disappointed with how it was run. Much different a few years back when I took our other grandchild. The employees were all over the place and having the children help pick up. Please establish some rules and make sure the parents know they must stay with their children and help supervise them in pick-up.
I think you want all children to have fun in a safe environment.
