Love Benbrook, but the people of Benbrook deserved better on the 377 project. We were lied to from the beginning. The time to do the project was a lie, the way it was going to be done was a lie. Fo...r almost 3 years I have not been able to turn off 377 onto Cosby when going south on 377. Nothing is finished, sidewalks, highway, street lights, or even stop lights. This morning they had 9 men working from one end to the other. One man was working with a shovel at 377 and Cosby, two were setting down in the middle of 377 in front of McDonalds on their phones. This sight is almost a constant occurance. See More

I notice students walking and riding bikes to school along side hwy. 377. We live by the West Park wall. I am afraid there is going to be a tragedy one of these days. Traffic is very heavy during this hour.

What would make it better is if they would do something about Timbercreek Road. People use it as a highway. My suggestions: reduce the speed limit, more police patrol in the late morning and evening, ...more children at play signs (not only at Park St.), speed humps. More and more families are moving to the area. It is a danger to all who live on or use this street. Don't wait until someone is injured or killed to fix this issue! See More

I have only recently learned that a "pocket park" is to be built in my neighborhood from land leased from a nearby church. While I have no objection to the children in my area having a place to play I... am concerned about what types of crime and other hazards this "pocket park" may potentially draw. I am also annoyed that the city made apparently made no effort to notify taxpayers about this proposed park coming to their neighborhood, so that we could voice our concerns and opinions. See More

The eternal 377 construction project has got to be on of the most mismanaged, bungled messes in construction history!

You drove off all kinds of businesses, have pushed the limits of citizens patien...ce to the brink, and sill continue this project with no more than 10 people and a limited use of equipment. Benbrook should have never agreed to this unmitigated disaster!

The completed project will in no possible way compensate for the years of wasted time, loss of great businesses and major inconveniences all around. This is a true Barney Fife operation in work. What a mess!!!

Last night the Benbrook Police pulled over two men across from our home. Firstly, I like how police and fire in Benbrook don't use the loud sirens late at night in residential areas. I saw the blue li...ght strobe and got up. The police were taking the two people in and they treated them kindly and with respect and patience. When we hear so many stories of unprofessional behavior by police I wanted to share the professional actions of police last night. Benbrook Police, you are appreciated. Irene See More

It's pathetic that my wife wrote the city of Benbrook a check well over a month ago and it still hasn't been deposited. How is that professional or even acceptable?

On Saturday, April 29, 2017 at approximately 11:20 PM I dropped a friend of mine off at the Benbrook Inn and Suites Hotel. We had just come from Chili's where we had dinner.

There was a Benbrook ...police officer positioned in the parking lot of this hotel. I dropped my friend off and was backing out of the parking space when the police officer made an aggressive move with his SUV cruiser and waited for me to pass him.

Once I got out of the open road the police cruiser begin following my vehicle very closely for 1 to 2 miles before finally pulling off to the side of the road presumably because he didn't find anything on me.

Let me be perfectly clear, this is unacceptable. I broke no laws and had every right to be in that parking lot. You know, not everyone is out to commit a crime. I don't know when you officers are going to get it through your thick heads that you can no longer engage in this behavior. These kinds of actions provide no benefit to anyone, all they do is upset people. My camera was rolling in the event that you pulled me over.

Thankfully, this particular situation had a acceptable resolution.

I love being A resident of Benbrook for the past 5 years now. The schools are challenging, Westpark and Benbrook/Middle High, the parks and trails are close enough too. My only complaint is we need a... New Grocery store!!!! I'm tired of Walmart. Please bring in a HEB, Albertsons, Kroger or Sprouts. I miss Brookshires! Oh and maybe a few restaurants! No more fast food! Thank you. See More

My husband and I moved to Benbrook in 2013. It put me farther from work and the family than I ever had been. Now, I still commute 30 miles to work. But Benbrook is my town and we love it! We are bless...ed to face Winscott Rd and have a ringside seat to watch the fireworks and they were fantastic! Thank you, City of Benbrook for a great way to start the holiday! Bless y'all! Whoever is in charge of this cluster F of construction needs to lose their job. You have some of the dumbest people available running the city.

Is there an estimated date on the completion of 377? This is almost as bad as living in Dallas right now with the traffic.

North Dallas, Los Angeles, and Benbrook. Traffic is comparable in these three communities. Driving through Benbrook makes me wish that the internal combustion engine hadn't ever been invented.

I grew up in Benbrook. I work right down the street. This town is a great place to raise your kids.
