I have an ongoing issue with a bernina machine. It's been not working since being purchased in Canada. I had to prove it didn't work with multiple tests in front of where it was purchased, it was se...nt for repair 4 times and has come back all times not operable. This has been a battle for months!!! The president of bernina Canada sent an email stating I would receive a full refund via email and I'm now being told by the store of purchase I can only get 75% of my money back or another machine without warranty where I have to sit in front of them and sew. Follow this story on Bernina Canada... I have continued to take videos to prove all of these issues. I am hoping someone within your company can please just refund my money at this point. I have continued to be humiliated and it appears bernina Canada is supporting this place of purchase who have initiated intimidation tactics so I will not continue to request fair treatment (eg. They found my home sewing business and since having issues have 'liked' posts). Is this normal business that would be supported by you Bernina????? I will update this thread with the outcomes. This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced and a premium price tag! This is not the same as the brand and machine your grandmother had. Do not purchase! See More

i am a proud owner of 14 berninas , i last Friday i went to pick up my machine at he official local dealer here in Porto , Portugal. It was there for a full service . bernina Portugal , more precisely... RIERA ALTA IN PORTO haven't done a great or even good job ,there were lose screws , and they missed obvious parts in the machine to fix , worst than that was that the technicians was not there at the time i was not allowed to test the machine on site. It s a shame for the image of the brand here in Portugal, i could expect that from any other brand but not from bernina . i felling very disappointed by the way they manage the brand and users of the brand . . In 25 years of berninas i never experience this before so i am telling you do not let your brand fall in disgrace . See More

I have a 150QE that I have had for 15 years and I love it. Works great. I take it in once a year to clean and works like a charm....

I bought a new 770QE less than two years ago. It sews amazing. I started having troubles that the display acted up when I used the knee lift and the thread cutter isn't working properly. I took it into my local dealer. They are outstanding. They can't get Bernina USA to actually solve either problem. The machine has been in the shop since early July. Less than two years old and there is no fix for it yet. Very disappointing because of how much I have loved the brand, the cost for the machine, and the poor customer service from Bernina USA. I do hope that this is just a one time occurrence but I saw a post about a 5 year old 770 that they won't repair out of warranty. Not giving me the warm and fuzzies. Maybe for a bigger sewing machine I'll investigate other brands next time.

I don't get it. You have a customer for life and treat them poorly. When I reached out to Bernina USA they tried to offload the problem on the dealer but the dealer can't do a warranty replacement until Bernina tells them what to replace. I thought that response from Bernina USA lacked ownership and wasn't trying to address my problem. I'll post an update when it gets fixed.

It's a sad story evolving for Bernina. It once was a trusted brand and is quickly becoming an UNTRUSTED brand. The lack of focus on customer service hurts many businesses and Bernina is among them. ... For something that was considered the Cadillac of sewing machines, it is now just an over priced product that would fail being sold in a department store. See More

I learned to sew on my Mother's then new Bernina, in the 1970's. Wish I knew what model it was, bought from the Bernina Shop at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi. I now have my own, a 770QE - with a hubby... pushing me to get the embroidery module :) Enjoying getting to know my machine, it's less than a month old. Since I live in Germany, about 4 hours away from Steckborn, I would love information on how to plan a visit to the factory - and the Creative Center - for our local Quilt Guild. See More

I bought an 880 in April, 2014, supposed to be my dream embroidery machine after several others. The. 880 has never threaded properly. It has been at the dealers for months many times. Their staff ...and the educator could not, thread it. The dealers claims it is my fault. I have requested the machine be sent back and either fixed or replaced. She will not do it. I have spent $16,000 with accessories and I have been unable to use it. How can I send it back? See More

So... here is my little Story about Bernina B330:
6.5.2015 I bought this machine. The Singer Reseller told me that this is what I NEED. Because Singer and Pfaff are for home using machines not good en...ough for me, as I am sewing a lot of ball dresses, and costumes etc. Anyway he told me for what I am doing this is what I need. I was thankful for the introduction of Bernina as I didn't know this brand. I payed 1300€. I did made a guarantee extension via Internet for 4 years! GOOD that I did it. Now last year right after 1 year buying, the Greifer was so used that they needed to clean it and polish it. Now in February this year the Greifer needed to polish again!!! THATS not funny! Why do Bernina build things that doesn't last long? Anyway... the first polishing did cost me 350€!!!! Now the second one only 40€ because I went to a home repairing store for sewing machines. She did repair the Greifer. and 1 day after the machine did make the same problems... I went to her saying that this can not be possible. Under the Greifer she took out a small plastic peace with a torque and now the machine is working.
End of the story: I will NOT recommend this brand for people who are doing a lot of sewing. To expensive for too many issues.
I hope I can apply for the guarantee extension. Wish me luck.

I moved to Bernina machines about 20 years ago and it was the best move ever! My early trusty 1015 has been passed on to one of my daughters, and I'm now the proud owner of a 710 - but have two other ...earlier electronic models, which I take to workshops, lend to students, and serve as back-up when my main machine is being serviced. I have had my Bernina 830 for 43 years.....amazing machine,
Today I went into my local dealer to see if they had needles with larger eyes....getting old! And then I looked at all these new machines ...that can thread themselves, I feel that I may buy a new one but can't decide which one, a 350 or 570, decisions decisions!
Happy sewing Ladies!
