I've been to several support groups recently. I love how they confirm & demonstrate the open sharing principle of
1 Cor. 14:26.

The first Christians were called "followers of the Way." The living, resurrected Jesus is the Way. Follow Him.

Solos are good. However, many people sharing & testifying as Christ's symphony makes a fuller sound.

No one man can fully present God's symphony. It takes an orchestra of Christ-followers, obeying the Spirit together, to play it.

Systemization is great for human productivity, but when applied to religion, it can easily hinder the Holy Spirit.

God wants to revitalize what we've systematized. Will we let Him?

Every believer is an instrument in Christ's symphony. Let's meet together as His orchestra & let Him be the director!

Thanks to Andrew Ormiston for these encouraging words!
"I had an epiphany the other day. I was reading Steve Simms' book about how 'church' has been a mistrans...lation of the Greek 'ekklesia' since the King James Version.
The word 'church' denotes a building, or a place of meeting, even today that's its literal definition. However, 'ekklesia' was a calling out of believers to assemble, and while together, to genuinely listen to the Holy Spirit and respond to his leadership. Where God's will is being done, its there his government is being established.
The biggest difference is that instead of a leader guiding everyone through a program, you have each person released to share what God's put on their heart. The result is a warm, encouraging, spontaneous sharing, and an experience of Christ himself being the head of his body.
The book ('Beyond Church') shared many examples from Christian history, and several denominations, showing what this gathering looked like. I couldn't put it down. I've had this idea for a couple of years, but couldn't quite put it into words. This book finally put it all together for me. Thanks Steve. Blessings."

Disciples are people who proclaim the living, resurrected Jesus, both with their words & with their lifestyle!

We can preach and teach or we can cultivate an atmosphere where preachers and teachers abound. Let’s make disciples and let church services overflow with preachers and teachers. Jesus said it…

It's difficult to worship without awe! ("Everyone was filled with awe." -Acts 2:43)
