On the first after Sabbath (τη δε μια των σαββατων), Jesus appeared to the women near the grave, and the disciples behind barred doors. This is why the early church disciples, and until today, we Christians, fellowship every Sunday and celebrate in accordance to day the resurrection of our Lord is proclaimed. Christians weren’t commanded to celebrate the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ on specific dates. But we are to celebrate the Gospel daily, as we live for the hope that is within us.
