Gorgeous day to leave the car at home and bike to work! Did you know Austinites use the Trail to commute to work more than 124,000 times each year? By keeping these individuals off the road, nearly $727K is saved annually in congestion costs to Austin businesses and residents.
Do you use Strava? Are you a member of BikeTexas?
We have a Strava Club and you should join!
Strava is a social media network + fitness app for athletes of all types. You can be as competitive - or not - as you like. This is a great tool for finding new routes and seeing where your fellow BT members ride....
This group is for active BikeTexas members. Not a member? Hop on over to our website and join now!
Even if you aren't a member, when you use Strava to track your rides, you contribute to TxDOT's Strava Metro data. This project is a great tool for showing elected officials, planners, and engineers where cyclists ride in Texas. Municipal leaders are frequently surprised to find our just how many cyclists use the roads, the this data helps us make a case for more and better bicycle facilities.

According to the National Center for Disease Control & Public Health, Georgia (NCDC & P...H), obesity is associated with an estimated 112,000 excess deaths per year and raises the risk for more than 30 chronic health conditions, including diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and heart disease. A lot of those chronic health problems can be prevented with a few simple steps. Talk to your health care provider and ask for recommendations.
