I've finally come to a real understanding of where I'm at, how I feel about my life's direction and my relationship with music. With courage and gratitude in my heart, I am ready to let go and step away f
...rom both of my current music projects, Bird of Prey and Birds of Paradise. The inspiration I was once fueled by is tapped out and my heart is calling for me to dive deeper into the mystery, let go of the potentials that are offered from continuing in this direction and allow for new experiences to come in. This is a very personal decision and it has not been an easy one to come to, but I must wipe the slate clean and start fresh, dream a new dream, embody a new archetype. Thank you all for 5 years of love and support (and many of you much longer than that), you've literally helped realize my childhood dream. I have traveled the world and earned the friendship, acknowledgement and respect of many of the people who inspired me to walk this path, touched the hearts and minds of many and in return received priceless gifts and experiences I will cherish and be changed by forever. I am content and fulfilled by my efforts, and am now ready to initiate a new paradigm. This will allow me to continue to grow and uphold the integrity and authenticity I have always aimed to infuse into my life and art. Moving forward, my priorities are to continue developing my composition skills and explore new ideas and applications that more accurately reflect who I am at this time. My focus is to live a more grounded, healthy and sustainable lifestyle and genuinely flourish on all fronts.
I know Tyler still very much resonates with the theme and direction of Birds of Paradise, and have given him my blessing to continue working under the name if he's inspired to do so. Tyler, thank you for being the best partner a guy could ask for. The music I've written on my own and with you are some of the greatest achievements of my life thus far, and I really couldn't have done it all without you. My current commitments will be honored and I will remain open to participating in events that truly align with my intentions. If there comes a time when I hear the call to come back to this we will take it from there, but for now I know the right course of action is to set this bird free. So once again, thank you all from the core of my being for your contributions and overall amazingness. I appreciate your presence in my life and your ongoing love and support.
