I have loved Black Enterprise Magazine and Family since I was in my early 20s. I was inspired to achieve and be more at my first networking event in Atlanta, Ga. hosted by BE right out of college. 30 ...yrs later. What a blessing to see the long-standing legacy coached and left to the brilliant Grave Son's. Next Dimension leaders and continued rising stars."Butch and Johnny " Bravo for keeping our community on the cutting edge and pushing us to always achieve "More" and BE More. Love You. #Keep Going. # Do Not Stop. We Need B.E. See More

When I was in my teens, it was Black Enterprise that inspired me to be the business man I am today. That inspiration led me to inspire my sons who are about to launch their first business. Their first... product is a ground breaking, revolutionary phone app which will hit the market in the first quarter of 2018. Thank You Black Enterprise... See More

When I had the funds, I subscribed to Black Enterprise. It was a publication along with others, that helped me to think more positively about the future of African-Americans because there was so much ...good we were doing listed in Black Enterprise and in other magazines that were not listed anywhere else in the media. Now that I have reconnected with Black Enterprise, I will check in with you every now and then. See More

Black Enterprise includes useful information about the accomplishments of black individuals and black business; statistics about black business; and opportunities available for black business and bla...ck individuals. What i would like to see is an article that 1) highlights those black businesses that would like to buy from black businesses owners, 2) a listing of products sold by black businesses ( that does not cost so much to join) and 3) a network of black businesses owners that includes conferences around the country. Although current black business groups exist they are costly to small black businesses, their online directories need to be combined into one group, and the current network is disconnected and scattered. There is power in numbers when you centralized all groups in a fashion so that they work collectively with the same purpose and goal. See More

I tried to get their subscription through a Groupon deal, and received bad customer service. I never received my subscription that I paid for, never received one magazine after three months of waiting..., and non valid contact information on Black Enterprise that does not work (email or phone number). Groupon even told me they got in contact with someone at Black Enterprise and that they would be calling me in 3 business days. After 3 business days, never got a call back and Groupon luckily gave me my money back. I would buy Black Enterprise magazines all the time, but with my disappointing experience with them, I need to rethink giving them my service. They have had articles on giving good customer service, but I am confused as to why they are in business if they can't practice what they preach. See More

Elam-Thomas, who learned to speak Greek at the age of 42 and Turkish at 47, has written a well-received memoir, Diversifying Diplomacy, My Journey from Roxbury to Dakar.

Elam-Thomas says Americans of color bring a unique perspective to diplomacy that contributes to bridge building with other cultures, particularly in light of the fact that two-thirds of the world is made up of people of color.
