Members from our Business Development, Engineering, Regulatory, Gas Supply, Load Control, Legal, Supply Chain, Environmental, Safety and Facilities departments recently joined forces with our Iowa leaders and like-minded transportation and equipment partners to build a temporary Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility in Estherville, Iowa.
The mobile pipeline, which will supplement our natural gas system during peak demand times, was successfully installed late last year.
“The unique challenges we faced with our system limitations in Estherville required a progressive approach to meeting our community and customer expectations,” said Wes Ashton, director of operations for Iowa.“
Our safety committee in Cheyenne, Wyoming, hosts a morning meeting each month with important safety lessons.
Last month, the Electric Operations team of 15 linemen, 1 groundman, 2 fleet mechanics, 2 metermen, and 2 substation electricians, took center stage and provided their fellow employees with some very powerful lessons in electrical safety.
“The idea behind the fair was get people together and to let our experts in the field share their knowledge with coworkers,” said Electric Operations Manager, Marc Eyre. “The hope is that everyone comes away with knowledge that they can use at work and at home to promote safety here and in our community.”
