Went there a couple of weeks back with 2 other mates, 105+ miles each way, only saw about 2 fish topping in over 24hrs, not a single bite or line knock the entire time we were there, other than the an...noying swans who keep swimming to your pegs and tangle the lines around their feet, constantly.

I didn't see a single person catch anything while we were there and we were on the apparently "easy" pond sandmartin. Rip off price, probably about 10 fish on the entire site now lol, i read that there is an otter problem there. No wonder there are no fish biting lol. I would suggest putting some otter fencing up and restock the ponds. Especially as you are charging £32.50 for 24hrs with 3 rods now.

Two of my mates have gone again today, happy driving lol, good luck to them.

Just had a 72 hr session on the swan with my mate ! Didnt result in any fish this time, but definitely be a next time !
Top venue walked round the majority of the lakes and really impressed ! Toilets... and showers are spotless and the entire complex/grounds well natured and looked after.
Some of the pegs were small but majority would take a 2man bivvy with ease !
Be coming back soon to try grab a big chunk

Recently got back from doing 4 days and was very disappointed with the facilities, only 2 toilets on site which is very poor considering the amount of anglers that are on the lakes, there needs to be ...portaloos around site. The shower floors where dirty not enough places to hang clothes up whist in the showers. See More

Great Lakes well looked after friendly staff/owner I never caught any big fish but its not every day you see a angler pulled around a lake on a boat by a big fish there is some big bream in the river ...had 1 or 2 out in the 2 days I was there the toilets/ showers are very clean even after the fire and the shop is coming along will definitely be going back tight lines See More

This has to be one off the best fisheries in the U.K. Very clean very well looked after and the owner and all there staff are pleasant and helpful.
Now the fishing
If you are a beginner then you sh...ould really stick to the runs waters like bluebell and mallard but they are not a cast in and have a few beers and hope to catch you still need to work at them for the fish as for swan and kingfisher they may not be for you as they are not as easy to catch
BUT if you do catch you will go home with a big smile on your face and probably have your PB
I've fished at bluebells for about 8 months now and I've had 2 pb both over 30lb and a hand full off good 20's but I have had a fare few blanks and some long days and nights but that's carp fishing

Second time on the complex and just as good as the first time. Awesome place, awesome fish, awesome staff and awesome facilities. Spent a week on this time with a couple of Lake changes and still mana...ged to eek a few fish out in mega hard conditions. Highly recommend this place, not clicky and all other angler's are friendly and willing to share some knowledge. If u want a PB and some beautiful specimens then give this place a go!! See More

Top quality fishery. Just had four days on this amazing complex.the grounds are tidy. NO LITTER, pegs are well spaced, toilets and showers are
Kept very clean all set in stunning grounds full of Local takeaway are availible. All in all you would struggle to find fault. Theres some very big fish on offer for those who are prepared to work for their captures. I shall without doubt return to bluebell.... See More

Beautiful places and kept in great condition.
Just done a week session and the fishing was very disappointing to say the least.
Mallard is not a runs lake as it states on there website. Constantly get...ting problems from swans in your lines (nothing owners can do about that) I think pegs need reducing as it's too pressured and over fished. Also a few more toilets and showers would be good. Hopefully we just hit a bad week for fishing, £670(for 3 anglers 2 partners) to go fish a runs lake which upon arrival we get told it's not a runs lake like the website states. If we'd have fished kingfisher/swan lake then I could justify not catching as you are fishing for that one big fish. But like I've said it's a beautiful place and very well kept and hopefully it was just a bad week See More

Great complex, yes it's a hard complex to fish but if you do the legwork and locate the fish it can be rewarding. Currently sat on blubell on a 24h and have had 3 fish already. A lot of effort goes maintaining these lakes so it's a shame that few people that blank give it a bad reputation. See More

Just got back from a 24 hours on Sandmartin and I'm just so disappointed again. Why these lakes are so hard to fish is beyond me. I love to fish and love to spend my time fishing, but I believe it's a...bout time the management spend some money and buy in some carp. I've fished 4 times over the last 2 years and blanked every time, you could blame my fishing, but asking other fishermen on the bank and it's the same no fish caught!!!

£30 a night is expensive so give us a chance of catching instead of disappointed please.

I love Bluebell Lake! Have been fishing occasional day sessions on there for the past year, and so long as you fish well it is a decent bet for a bite or two. I must have fished it fifteen times now a...nd have caught on most of those visits, usually more than one fish. It is a beautiful tree and reed -lined lake with lots of interesting margins to explore and set traps in. At £10 for two rods/day it is good value. The stock is awesome with the average size probably just into double figures (based on my catches), with a reasonable number of twenties and a few thirties too (haven't got through to any of them yet, but that is my aim). As the fish aren't so big, the atmosphere is much more relaxed than some of the big carp waters on the complex. Highly recommended! See More

The fishery will be open again after clearing the road in with our jcb twice. But be prepared there is no parking directly behind any swim as the ground is saturated. There has been no ice on the lakes to talk of and no one has fished here for nearly a full week. Let’s hope that spring will soon arrive regards Tony

Dave celebrated New Year’s Day with an appearance on the bank at 54lb, with his mate at 32lb , his mate at 30lb and a little mate at 27lb. Pictures and name to follow

Bit late folks but wishing all customers and those who have helped over 2017 a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year. Best wishes Tony Lyn and Jim

Christmas opening. The fishery will be closed from Wednesday 20th December and will re open Thursday 28th December at 8am. In what has been a very very difficult year at Bluebell, can I personally thank all of you for your support shown during and after the fire of March 11th. Our only consolation this year has been the fact Bluebell has done more big fish than ever, which is something I want to take forward next year. Restocking is planned for Mallard Lake and Bluebell Lake . The shop is currently being restocked , the stuffed fish have been restored and are back in the shop. I expect the shop to be as was about the end of January. Regards Tonyand Jim

Fishery tariff increase. With immediate effect we have had to increase the prices on all fishery and membership tickets. The cost of a day ticket is now £15 which covers 1 2 or 3 rods. The cost of a 24 hour ticket on mallard bluebell and Sandmartin lake is now £30 for 2 rods £32.50 for 3 rods. The cost of a 24 hour ticket on swan and kingfisher lake is now £32.50 for 2 rods £35 for 3 rods. We are sorry to increase prices but they have been static for several years and the increasing amount of waste left and vehicle damage to gates walls fencing etc has left us no other option thank you

Please note Mallard Lake is booked from 12am Friday 23rd JUNE until Sunday 4pm 25th JUNE all other waters are open for day tickets

Due to the very hot weather there is a total maggot ban on all of the lakes until further notice as of today.

Pdq machine is up and running we can take card payments as of today regards Tony

Fire damage update. The new toilets are now open again and the showers have hot water as of today regards Tony

Sorry to post that today we had a very severe damaging fire in the shop. As a result all of the stock has been destroyed, and the building badly damaged. The fishery will remain open. However, we have no pdq machine and no reception, toilets are still working. I hope you can still enjoy the fishing here this summer without the shop facility, I fear it may be some months before I can get back to normal . I will try my best to carry out repairs as soon as I can, and please do still use the fishery your support at this testing time will be very much appreciated regards Tony

To all the anglers who have made it such a successful year in 2016 many many heartfelt thanks, without you there would not be a Bluebell Lakes. Wishing you all a very happy Christmas regards Tony

Bracken the little brown spaniel that lives on the boats but is always playing here at bluebell has gone missing. Last seen Sunday afternoon if anyone has any information or later sightings please ring me on 01832226042 owner and us desperately worried about her.

Bluebell Lake is closed until February 14th to allow a new stock of 100 carp released yesterday weighing between 15lb and 20lb. , to settle adapt to their new water. Swan, Sandmartin, Kingfisher and Mallard Lakes remain open as usual. Mallard Lake will be stocked very soon with 500 carp to 10lb. to increase catch results this year.

Just to remind you fisherman we are doing the gift certificates again this Christmas or for any event during the year. Can be used in the shop or for fishing sessions. Check out these pages Thursday for a stunning picture ????? Regards Tony
