On Saturday, August 19, 2023, just after 1:30 am, Officers of the Bogalusa Police Department responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Florence Avenue. Information was also received that there was a victim associated with the shootings.

On arrival, Officers discovered a young male laying in the roadway, with severe injuries. Tragically, the young male, identified as Tajdryn Forbes (19 yoa), succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives processed the scene and located over 50 casings of multiple calibers. Numerous leads are being investigated and updates will follow.
