🚨ARREST MADE IN 8-19-23 HOMICIDE🚨
On Monday, August 28, 2023, Bogalusa Police Department Detectives arrested 18 year old, Chaston Dyson, for his involvement in the death of Tajdryn Forbes.
Dyson was booked on the following charges:
-Second Degree Murder
- Attempted Second Degree Murder
-Attempted Second Degree Murder
-Illegal Use of Dangerous Weapons
-Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
This is still an ongoing investigation and additional arrests are expected.

***EARLY MORNING HOMICIDE***
On Saturday, August 19, 2023, just after 1:30 am, Officers of the Bogalusa Police Department responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Florence Avenue. Information was also received that there was a victim associated with the shootings.
On arrival, Officers discovered a young male laying in the roadway, with severe injuries. Tragically, the young male, identified as Tajdryn Forbes (19 yoa), succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives processed the scene and located over 50 casings of multiple calibers. Numerous leads are being investigated and updates will follow.

Such a shame on so many levels, it’s not right to automatically blame the parents, we’ve all done things our moms wouldn’t be proud of (not of this magnitude) rather than blame , why not strike up conversation with some of these kids, find out what their plans are maybe there’s some advice you can give them. I hate that this young man may have to spend the rest of his days in prison, and I especially hate that another young man died in the street.
