Fellas, the season starts soon! If anybody has plans on NOT playing this year just let us know.

In game 1 the Boozehounds looked bad on offense and even worse on defense. With 1st place on the line, they kicked the ball around through the entire game and popped the ball up with bases loaded twice to end potential big innings. The Boozehounds also had men on 2nd and 3rd late in the game with no outs and failed to score a run. Even though they... weren't at there best they still managed to hold a 6-5 lead in the top of the 5th inning but a homerun by Matty's tied the game up and in the top of the 6th Matty's added 3 more runs to pull away from the Boozehounds. The Boozehounds suffered there first loss of the season and were knocked out of first place in the division. In the process Bill Sprague also suffered his first loss of the year and is now 4-1 on the season. The Boozehounds 3,4 and 5 hitters accounted for most of the offense in game 1. Jay Caron went 3-3 with 3 singles, 3RBI's and 3 runs scored. Shamus Murray went 2-4 with 2 singles, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored and Bill Sprague went 2-2 with 1 single, a double, a walk, 1 RBI and 1 run scored. It just wasn't enough and the Boozehounds go down, 9-6 was the final score of the game.

In game 2 the Boozehounds set the pace early  with 4 runs when Jay Caron had a 2 RBI single and Bill Sprague added a RBI triple to open up the scoring in the top of the first inning. Matty's scored 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning to keep it close early. The Boozehounds extended there lead 6-4 with a run in the 2nd inning and another in the top of the 5th inning. Then again in game 2, much like game 1, the Boozehounds kicked the ball around  in the bottom of the 5th inning and made 4 errors and 3 on one play that cost them to give up the lead and with no outs and still in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Boozehounds trailed 7-6 with a chance of jumping back into first place in the divison with a victory, began to settle down. The Boozehounds would get 3 quick outs to end the 5th inning and in the top of the 6th inning unloaded for 6 runs to start to pull away. Matty's went down one, two, three in the bottom of the 6th inning and the Boozehounds would add 2 more runs in the top of the 7th inning. Matty's would add 1 run in the bottom of the 7th inning but the Boozehounds took the game 14-8 and now sit in first place all by themselves in the divison. Lou Pagnonni led the offense and was 3-3 with 3 singles, a sac fly, 3 RBI's and 1 run scored. Also Jay Caron and Jack McKeever had big games with Jack McKeever going 3-3 on the day with 3 singles, 3 RBI's and 1 run scored and Jay Caron was 3-4 with 3 singles, 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Bill Sprague got the victory and improved to 5-1 on the season.

The Boozehounds give first place away in game 1 but take it right back in game 2!The Boozehounds give first place away in game 1 but take it right back in game 2!
