About this effort #WritersForTheStorm :
In an effort to help bring aid to the victims of Hurricane Harvey, I am reaching out to my fellow artists to join me and my pals Grace Slick, Steve Soest and Angela Riggio in the project “Writers for the Storm”, a ‘1 song for 1 dollar for 1 month” project. Here’s how:
1) Pick one of your songs, or write a new one it doesn’t have to be lyrically relevant to the cause…
Make the song available for purchase for $1 (anywhere you like)
Donat...e all the proceeds for 1 month to the victims of Hurricane Harvey (Via your local Red Cross or any charity organization you choose)
Then if you’d like, you can join our community of songwriters on facebook at: @WritersForTheStorm
where you can get answers to questions, meet other writers who are doing the same as you, post links to your song, share lyrics…
and if you like, follow us on twitter: @mmangione
and Instagram: @Mangione.Michelle
Grace and I have decided to donate 100% of the proceeds of “The Edge of Madness”, a song we originally wrote to aid in the rebuilding of Louisiana after the Gulf Coast tragedies.
It was sort of a no-brainer to re-release the song for the people of Texas. To purchase and download go to www.michellemangione.com ❣️
Please feel free to pass along or share this message with any songwriters you feel would like to help.
We here at Brainspoon HQ our deeply saddened by the loss of a friend and fellow musician who we had the pleasure of sharing a stage with many times over the years. Mike was a true gentleman to all those who knew and played with him.
Please help out if you can!
Terra Swan will later announce details on the memorial. For now let's help her and Mike Angulo little daughter.
