PRIZE CELEBRATES PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE OF WORLD CIVILISATION

From restoring ancient Buddhist art, to preserving nature, to pioneering genome editing research, this year’s Lui Che Woo Prize - Prize for World Civilisation honours trailblazers their respective fields.

Fan Jinshi received the Positive Energy Prize for her devotion to restoring Mogao Grottoes and Buddhist art that spans more than 1,000 years in Dunhuang, in China’s Gansu Province. Biochemist Dr Jennifer Doudna w...as awarded the Welfare Betterment Prize for her work in advancing genome editing, and the Sustainability Prize went to The Nature Conservancy, based in Hong Kong, for its science-centric approach to promoting the harmonious co-existence of people and nature.
