...

This year, we've hired an enormous sports hall in Cambridge for 3 full days.

There'll be workshops from all levels of standing acro to popping to washing machines and beyond. The space is MASSIVE and will easily be big enough to have 4 consecutive workshops, and plenty of jam space besides.

Last year, the skill and dedication of the teachers and students was beyond incredible, and the atmosphere was fantastic. So, we're doing it again

TEACHERS confirmed and announced so far:
Acro Bart (Bart Venne)
Scott and Michaela
Jaqui Wan
Neilon Pitamber
Hugo Hanssen
Kit Eckersley

TIMETABLE (approximate):
Friday: 11am - 10pm
Saturday: 9am - 10pm
Sunday: 9am - 10pm

MONIES for the full festival:
Early bird (until 30th June): £75
Lazy bird: £90

YOUR LEVEL:
There have been a few people hesitant that the convention will be too hard for them... At all times throughout every day, there will be at least 1 workshop running which will be completely beginner friendly (i.e. if you don't even know what acro is, there will still be teaching suitable for you).

Similarly, if you're very experienced we absolutely expect that you will not be bored or underchallenged. Some of the teachers are extremely high level, and very good at upping the difficulty if it looks like you're cruising

Exact details or workshops will be released as we confirm them

British Acrobatics to British Acro Festival 2017

With registration opening THIS MONDAY, we thought we'd announce some more teachers...

Our next confirmation is the brilliant Jaqui Wan, an active enthusiast of ...AcroYoga and European acrobatics throughout the last ten years.

Her unlimited combinations of putting together L basing acrobatic sequences are not something to be missed. Think you know every obscure washing machine or flow out there? Think again!

Jaqui is a very encouraging teacher, who is great at making sure everyone is working together in small groups or teams, and with spotters.

She teaches a whole range of levels, from complete beginners to seasoned flow lovers, and is very keen for everyone of all levels to build on their creative potential.

She also developed the entity Bodhitrix, which has been involved in developing materials for enthusiasts, practitioners and teachers (bodhitrix.net)

British Acrobatics to British Acro Festival 2017

Our next teacher announcement is the wonderful Neilon Pitamber.

Neilon joins us from Brighton and will be teaching AcroYoga. His approach is fun and lightheart...ed with an eye for detail and a constant quest for understanding what makes things work.

He'll be teaching all things L-based and washing machine, covering alignment, connection, and transitions, and bringing with him a host of beautiful and intricate flows.

More teachers coming soon.......

Looks like Bart Venne will be coming to BAF this year

British Acrobatics shared a profile to the event: British Acro Festival 2017.

Aaaaand we have confirmed our first incredible teacher - the brilliant Bart Venne.

Bart (aka Acro Bart) will be joining us from Holland, where he has trained a ...lifetime of acrobatics.

If you would say royal families have blue blood, you could say that Bart has acrobatic blood. He's trained professionally, performed endlessly, teaches fantastically, and above all loves acro.

As a teacher, some might say that he seems strict and demanding, but really that just means he wants everyone to learn and improve, while feeling safe and supported. His goal is that everyone should learn and have fun, which he does through a mixture of classic moves and innovative flows and entries.

Bart will primarily be teaching intermediate workshops and harder - you can expect to be challenged, entertained, corrected, and never bored.
