What have you learned from your big/little?

...

Jordan: A big/little pairing is a two-way street. Even though I am the Big, I have learned SO much from Erica. Ever since I have known her, she has pushed me to be the person I have always wanted to be. She inspires me with her maturity to respond to situations with a leveled head, her eagerness to explore new places and things, and her willingness to challenge herself in anything she does. I feel so #blessed to be her big, and I am always looking forward to the next adventure with her!

Erica: Jordan is not only a wonderfully kind friend, but also a guide that’s helped me grow as a person. I admire her selflessness, passion for learning, and commitment to pursuing all of her interests. She sees the best in me, and is someone I can go to to talk about anything! From her I’ve learned more about who I am and who I aspire to be.

How has the Big/Little program changed your college experience?

...

Eric:
The big-little program taught me how to care for things other than myself. It gave me one of the greatest gifts. It was one of the things I didn't know I needed, but I'm so glad they forced me to apply. The complementary hats don't hurt either
A.Burr

Miguel:
"I always know that I can trust Eric, and I love spending time with him. I had never met him before he became my big, and at first I was kind of nervous, but I guess everything worked out serendipitously. We sing together, hang out, and now even live in the same apartment. I can't imagine what BU would be like without him."

How has the Big/Little program changed your college experience?

Donald:
"For anyone who knows me, they know that I put my family first over everything. I think family isn't simply defined by birth. I think you gain family over time. I am so happy, honoured and proud to have gained a new member of my family, Sarina. To me, she is more than a friend. We support, listen to, challenge and watch out for each other. We cry and laugh together. I could go on, but what it boils down to is that Sarina is a little sister to me and I love her infinitely."

Sarina:
"Donald's the best. He's there when I need him, whether it's for professional advice or for personal issues. He's become more than a big to me, but he is my family here in Boston. I'm the luckiest little to have someone like him who understands me. I love him so much even though he pretends other people are his little."

#tbt when a BU student supported the Filipino Delano Grape Strike in 1970, a big part of Filipino-American history!

Also, this article is just super cool.
