Introducing a Season of Support: Holiday Marketing Resources for Your Business
As we enter a holiday season like we’ve never seen before, we’re announcing new products that can help your business adapt to the pandemic, get on board with the accelerated shift to online shopping and make the most of such an important season. A recent study showed that “1 in 2 global consumers surveyed expect to shop online more in the future,”1 and as we get closer to the holidays, we expect this number to increase. To help you prepare for the season, we’re introducing new ways to reach shoppers, offer discounts and sharpen your digital skills.
Announcing Ads With Product Tags on Instagram
This holiday season we’re launching a new way to create ads with product tags on Instagram to help give businesses more creative flexibility. Ads with product tags make it easier for people to discover and shop, and they can help you increase awareness for your products by driving traffic to product detail pages on Instagram.
Over the last year, advertisers have been testing the ability to turn organic shopping posts with product tags into ads on Instagram. Today, we’re launching a new way to create ads with product tags from scratch in Ads Manager. This gives businesses the option to use more commercial creative and copy compared to traditional organic posts. The available formats for ads with product tags include photos, videos and carousels.
We’re also adding new audience tools to help you reach new and existing customers who are interested in shopping across Facebook and Instagram. With Shopping Engagement Custom Audiences, businesses now have the ability to reach people who’ve already shown interest in their product or brand by doing things like saving a product, viewing a shop or initiating a purchase. And with Shopping Lookalike Audiences, you can grow your customer base by reaching shoppers who have similar interests to your existing customers on Facebook and Instagram.
Introducing Discount Feature for Facebook Shops
Just in time for the 2020 holiday season, we’re testing discount features for shops in the US. You’ll be able to put individual products on sale, create offers that can be automatically applied — like “Spend $50 and get 10% off each eligible item” — or offer a discount on an item by letting customers apply a promo code. To make sure customers know of the discount options available to them and pique their interest, you can get creative by adding a banner to your shop. Learn more about adding discounts.
