I have had the pleasure of a close association with this Community College for nine years from a different prospective. I provide housing exclusively to male students attending here and have been ble...ssed with having students from all areas of study live at my home. Over the years, if there has ever been a problem that a student brings to me regarding the school, I would accompany the student to address the problem to the appropriate professor or adviser/counselor and have always observed the outcome to be handled professionally and to the student's satisfaction.
Additionally, this college strives to provide academic excellence as well as providing extensive financial assistance to deserving students. I would strongly recommend any student looking for a wonderful college experience to contact this college and walk around the to other students and visit with an adviser. You won't be disappointed!

If I could rate this school lower I would. Terrible announcement procedures for bad weather conditions. Couldn’t find it on canvas, pipeline, emails, or the website. I don’t watch tv. My phone was shu...t off due to college disbursement’s taking a month and in between jobs. And this school obviously has no consideration for the welfare of its students. My earliest class was at 7:40am and I live 45 minutes away, my significant other had an appointment at 6:30am so using his phone was out of the question. This school is absolute crap. See More

We came to watch our daughter in the Theater Production of Frankenstein the New Musical. We thoroughly enjoyed the show. The costumes, and the musical score were terrific. We felt that the production ...was of high quality. I have been to some 4 year college productions that were not near as good as this college production was. What a great opportunity for students to be creative. It was so worth the 5 hour drive to see this play. Congratulations to all the actors, stage crew, and BCCC educators and staff on a job well done. Jim and Dawn Hampton Atwood, KS See More

After having the same e-mail address for 12 years, Butler now wants to inactivate all accounts for people who aren't students. I'll now get to spend the next 10 days (how long they are giving us to fi...gure things out) to go through 12 years' worth of contacts and correspondence. I can't even explain the inconvenience of this all. See More

The event was very interesting and our first time a gaming competition. The people in charge made all of us feel very welcomed. The fact that our team won did help the day to be even more enjoyable.... Thank you to Butler Community College for hosting this event. See More

Butler has given me the run around for two months now. I dropped a course I would no longer be able to attend and paid my tuition off. Since then, I have been harassed by financial aid regarding my ai...d status (I’ve been suspended for whatever reason). Keep in mind I never filed at Butler and had no intentions of receiving any help from FASFA. It’s a shame no one has gotten in contact with me regarding my status. Thank you Butler for the amazing experience! See More

Tried to take distant learning classes after I had moved to Texas, was okay paying out of state tuition because they had a spot available in a class I needed. Applied for split payments so I could aff...ord the added cost to which the website told me to wait for a response to whether I was approved. Since I could not afford the cost up front I went about my business and having never gotten a response, never logged in to blackboard. Got an email from the professor halfway into the class, (the first attempt to reach me) saying I was going to be kicked from the class for not participating. I immediately asked if I could catch up or if I should drop, after letting him know what had happened. He told me that I would need to file an appeal, which I did, and was unsuccessful even though I had given clear evidence that I was told to wait for a response and communicated with my teacher what had happened. It was very clear that I had never logged in even once, and was not trying to get out of a class that I did not like or was in over my head. The school sent my bill to collections while I was trying to get it sorted and ended up paying about $200 over in late fees. After having spent time there while I lived in Wichita, it completely changed the way I thought about Butler. See More

I love Butler. It's done so much for me and at such an affordable cost. I've obtained two associates degrees without any financial aid and I've been able to do everything with my college education on own without outside assistance. The facilities are amazing and I cannot speak highly enough of this institution. It sticks up for the little guy and gives EVERYONE a chance to start their journey towards higher education. I will forever be a Grizzly See More

So far so good! As a non-traditional student, I was nervous about going back to school after 12 years. It's been a pretty easy process and I like the smaller class sizes. Not a huge fan of online c...lasses just because it's not presented in a way that works with my learning style. See More

At first, the only reason I was excited to come to BCC was because it wasn't home. I was extremely excited to get out of my little town and live somewhere where NO ONE knew me! Now that I am here, it'...s much more than just any other community college. Here, I have met some of the greatest friends and some of the greatest teachers! Everyone is so kind! ESPECIALLY the ladies in the Accounts Receivable Office and the Financial Aid Desk!!!! The sports teams have the most amazing students that will make great leaders one day! I love it here at BCC and I cannot wait to continue my education her the next few semesters! See More

Overall I had a good experience. I earned an associates degree in software development. 4 months after graduation I had my start in a new career. I stared putting my resume out at the end of my next t...o last semester (November, graduated in May). By July of the next year my degree paid off big time. I received a 40% pay increase. My boss commented that along with the experience I brought with me, Butler did a good job preparing me to be a software developer. See More

This school is wonderful! It's small enough to give individual attention to the students yet big enough to offer all types of scholarships. The staff is top notch too!

Butler is the best, it has taught an old man that it isn't about where you been, it's where you are going.

I had a great time hanging out with people in my Exact Sign Language class. We would always hang out. We had the same view points that is why we got along. I had a hard time fitting in the Compara...tive Religions class because they are was to much conflict in there, but not going to talk about it. God bless you. Talk to you later. See yahoo. I heard some of students are dying, do I will keep them and their families in my prayers. Have a great rest of your week. See More
